The top QBs went 5-7 and left Levis on the board, so I went with the best LB in the draft. Took two of the top TEs to rebuild that position. Took a guard and center for line depth. Added a huge athletic freak at DE and took a WR/returner. In the 7th round, took the top kicker and a flyer on a RB.

Ibrahim isn't bad, just a history of injury (if I'm thinking of the right guy).  I like the double dip at TE.  I've mocked Harrison to us a bunch. Hoping Bozeman takes a hometown discount is unlikely.  We will have very little FA signing space, so drafting a center is a must.  Obviously we needs LBs, I've double dipped in several mocks there--one ILB and one OLB.

Sewell just happened to be there that time. I've mocked double dipping at several positions of need while ignoring others. lol Getting ready to post another mock with a double dip at TE.

This one ended up with a slight trade back in the first round for another second and additional 2024 first. That nets me two of the top TEs, a pass rusher, and some ammo to move up for a QB if Nix and/or Corral don't work out. Double dipped at WR too. The Panthers probably need depth there to challenge Smith, Marshall, and co, if nothing else. Took a mid round RB to replace a certain vet people want to resign even if the rookie isn't a huge bruiser. Added a new center and some depth for the Oline as well.

I like the first seven of eight picks.  Nix just stated he's headed back to school and Ward is leaning that way.  The middle of the pack which was supposed to be the depth/strength of this class dried up in a hurry.  Next year though, especially if Williams and Maye declare. Wowza!!!!

Not super hyped about the first pick, but I feel it's something the Panthers would do.

Haha, was thinking the same with this one.

I like Stroud for all the ability and tools, but something about his crunch time work is what gives me pause.

I think Stroud just lacks experience in crunch time. OSU usually handles their opponents with relative ease. He is definitely a question mark in that category…

    • I think the ‘issue’ here is that we had two guys that clashed for several reasons. In some ways they were different, but in other ways they had a lot in common, and sadly they couldn’t see the forest for the trees. Sometimes when you have two people like that together they are either going to love or hate each other, and if it’s the latter, you need someone to mediate and hope the two individuals are capable of putting their differences aside for the common good. In this instance, they couldn’t find a way to move forwards together because I don’t think either guy wanted to play second fiddle to the other. This video basically said neither guy had the tools to bridge that gap and mend that fence, and perhaps also were unwilling to give an inch at that stage in their lives and careers. So a divorce, while unfortunate, was always likely. Do we win the Super Bowl with Smitty and Cam? Well, it’s one of life’s big what ifs for us Panthers fans.
    • Dude, I think I might be having Jarvy withdrawals... I ripped the sleeves off of all of my t-shirts in my sleep last night. Every bite of my Alpha-Bita cereal spelled Seth, this morning. And, I took 7 naps before lunch. I'm losing it guys! Jarvy's Jaunty Band of Jaggoffs are getting more play than he is... smh Team Canada doesn't treasure Jarvis the way he deserves. He should take his band down to Liechtenstein, get a bag of passports, and start his own Olympic team! The raw animal magnetism of Jarvilicious will bring in a handful of NHLers on its own. And, since the IOC believes in collective punishment, he could have his pick of the rookies. Then, just fill out the rest of the roster with the maple blooded great white northerners who couldn't make the top squad. Can't trust this assembled awesomery to just any old Liechtensteinien with a clipboard and a whistle. Gotta bring in a legend worthy of this gold medal gambit. A hockey HOFer with the balls to buck the system and the aura to match our maverick. Huere geil, Vaduz!!! 2030 Gold Medal guaranteed!
    • Tennessee isn't trading a QB on a 2nd round contract that has starting experience.  That's bad business.
