I think he very likely will. Not in the sense of some kind of declared open camp competition, but I suspect that where we will be drafting we will have one of the more raw QB prospects, and there's been mixed feelings on immediately starting first rounders forever.

I tend to think if a guy really has it, it'll show, and I think that Corral will get a chance to do so.

If we go for another vet retread who knows...

either way if we draft a project then I seriously doubt we siphon his reps in camp/practice for another vet and corral.  Will corral get work, sure will the bulk be with the first team, fug no

It's going to depend how he performs. If your project is a year out from starting, they don't necessarily need first time reps and if Corral shows off even with 2s you never know.

I disagree that this is out of Corrals hands now. If the coaching staff is competent he'll have a shot to show something. I doubt he does though.

I agree with that.  Like I have been saying the odds are beyond astronomical at this point that he ever plays any type of meaningful snap for us and that begins and ends with that fuging moron in Lincoln

Yeah I may put those odds slightly higher but I'd not bet on them.  He has much better odds of becoming some fan favorite backup that never sees the field but is always harped about in GameDay threads and in the off-season, heh.

    • I was honestly flabbergasted to see Rod send out Stanky and the boys to to matchup against their top line to start the game. The reason that line has been so effective is because they've been matched mostly against 2nd and 3rd lines all year. You've got last change. Use it to your advantage.
    • Nobody played well on defense last night. But, the vitriol towards Chatfield (and to a lesser extent, K'andre) is bigly misplaced. People (not just you) just refuse to accept how bad Slavin has been this season. And, I get it. Canes fans (and informed analysts) have spent nearly a decade trying to explain to casuals just how good Jaccccob is at hockey. 4Nations happened and the hockey watching public started to listen. National media even started floating the idea of creating a new award in his honor. Then this season, he gets hurt. It happens. NBD. But, when he finally came back, it wasn't the same. He'll get back to his old self in no time. Probably just some rust, it'll be fine. Only, it wasnt rust, and he's not fine. He's bad right now. It wasnt just last night. Although, that was absolutely the worst game of his NHL career. Slavin (-4) currently has the 3rd worst +/- of anyone left in the playoffs. We've  been begging the world to recognize Jaccob Slavin's greatness. And, by the time we finally got people to listen, he shits the bed! I blame Kash!
    • According to Scott Fowler, in an article about former Panthers announcer applying for a job with the Ravens... what that job pays, incidentally, when the Ravens posted it publicly they said the salary would be $4,000 to $5,000 per game. An NFL season consists of 20-24 games, including the preseason and potential playoff games, so it will end up somewhere between $80,000 and $120,000 a year. The person hired will be an independent contractor, which is commonplace in the NFL these days for team broadcasters, and also have other radio and TV hosting assignments.  https://www.charlotteobserver.com/sports/nfl/carolina-panthers/article315839800.html
