Have we satisfied the Rooney Rule?

With Wilks being an interim and I assume he's had an interview by this point, are we in the clear of the Rooney Rule?
I like his qualities but I do want the best candidate possible, obviously. I was just curious, if we wanted to pull the trigger tomorrow for example, would we be clear?

If we hired Wilks as the HC, would we get a comp pick?

Second question is... would we get any sort of comp pick if another team hired him?

We cleared the requirement with Caldwell and Evero. The requirement is 2 external candidates (in-person).

Not sure, but I don’t think there is a rule like that. Wilks was interim so he is essentially a free agent right now.

Correct, Wilks does not have a permanent title here, so if he get hired elsewhere, no comp pick.

You get a comp pick for hiring a minority to a HC or FO position as well.

Wilks ain't getting a FO position, so he'd have to be hired as a HC elsewhere.  I still don't think the interim tag counts.  We know the Cardinals are out.  If we don't hire him I don't think he's on Denver, Indy's or Texans radar.
