Sure, but you don't ignore good process just because a coach is new. If the head coach likes a QB and the team needs a QB you go get the QB as that's the most important position in the sport.

Being new means trust hasnt been earned.Im not ignoring good process , I am stating what   I consider the good process.

If you're choosing between the two because of potential, I'd have to go with Richardson because of age. He has less wear and injuries than Levis.

Yeah I think Richardson has the higher ceiling and is younger. I’d probably prefer him as well.

I do think those are two of the most irrelevant factors that fans value highly.

It matters how you play the position and how capable you are of playing the position. In that regard, both Levis and Richardson seem to be severely lacking. Physical abilities through the roof but incredibly minute intangibles.

I get that but between the two, if you are gambling anyway, might as well gamble for the higher return.

TBH, I would just prefer not to gamble in the top 10.

But I will trust the new head coach to try and develop whomever we end up with. I just hope we just aren't continuing this very Cleveland Browns-esque QB journey in three years.

The second part is how I feel. We have a very experienced offensive former QB as a HC now.  I’m down with whoever he thinks he can develop into our franchise QB. It’s been a while since we had someone like that on our staff, much less with the input of a HC position.

Most QBs not taken number 1 overall are a bit of a gamble. Mahomes, Allen, Jackson, even Herbert were gambles that their teams’ staffs did a great job in drafting and developing along the way.

    • I could be waaaaaaay off about Kon. I do fault myself into, to borrow a NFL phrase heavily "RAS" nerd on players, too much. There are PLENTY of athletic freak shows that are playing overseas(or Amazon delivery) cause they never figured out NBA ball. I can easily miss seeing the talent. Plus did he only have 2 dunks on the season??(is that for real??) I didn't watch over a few hours of duke, but not one point did I think "That Kon guy is a top 4 pick in the upcoming draft". IMO I still foresee Ball bringing the ball up, doing his weak isolation game and never even looking for Kon. That's his best trait according to everyone, shooting right? I do not see ball, bridges, miller or even williams making the extra pass to Kon for him to shoot a 3.  Then defense-wise, Im not ready to type the amount of questions I foresee in his ability for guarding NBA SGs or bench SFs for that matter. Not that NBA players care to defend, but still..... I just feel he's a bad fit for the current hornets, trades are taking place tho... Liam to me is a decent comp for Kon and he fell some, but was a 29 overall pick. Still around 13-21 was the good solid range for Liam and I thought the same for Kon. This is just a classic case of I need to see it. It add to this, Kon is like garlic. Ball is like sugar and Miller is like flour. Mix it together and chef Lee is not going to get me to eat that dish..... Honestly I don't know why Im this vocal about Kon. In past years I would be patience and not post and see what the kid has. The other side, insert classic white boy terms here- _____, ______, _______< etc >. Hornets do desperately need them. His crafty back door cuts, his willingness to stay a extra 2 hours to refine lees plays, keep playing with bruised limbs. I heard from many reports he's mentally tough and hornets by all gods need that. God they are such pussys.  I hope Im wrong and if so, I will give Kon his just props.
