Staff Id like to see join the staff:

OC: Brian Johnson

QB: Kevin Patullo

DB: Kris Richard

CB: Marquand Manuel

Asst. LB: Luke Kuechly

Luke, as good as he is, would be a terrible LB coach.  You can't teach natural abilities.  I think he would be one hell of a DC though.

Where do you ‘hide’ him until he can take that big step or, do you think he is ready now?  I agree he will make a great DC, just not sure the path within the Panthers that takes him there.

Would be a dream to have Evero for a couple years and then elevate Luke to DC, if he is ready at that point.

I don't think he wants to coach.  If he did I would certainly give him a shot. But the great ones never seem to be able to coach their position.  I think their expectations are so high that nobody can live up to them.

He'd probably make a good OC, to be honest. He understands offensive plays backwards, forwards, by the QB calls, the gestures of the opposing coaches, the sweat on the WRs...

As much as I'd love Pataullo and Johnson we'd probably only be able to get one as I doubt the eagles let them both interview here unless it was for a promotion and in that case it would need to be something like Pataullo OC and Johnson QB/Passing Game Coordinator or something. Pataullo taking a demotion probably doesn't work.

    • I wonder if the Hornets view Kon and McNeeley more as forwards and plan to ship off Green/Okogie/Smith for center help. I hope they don’t plan to ship off Sexton as I like what he brings to the team. (2) G - Ball, Mann, Simpson (two-way) (3) G - Sexton, Dinwiddie, Connaughton (3) F - Miller, Knueppel, McNeeley, James (two-way) (3) F - Bridges, Williams, Salaun (3) C - Diabate, Kalkbrenner, Plumlee
    • 3 main reasons he was better in 2023 and none of them concern me for his NFL prospects 1. Totally new coaching staff that was a massive downgrade and had god awful play calling and designs, the entire fan base was ready to run the coaching staff out of town a month into their first season and the play caller ended up getting changed because it was so bad. 2. Along with the staff downgrade, his QB played significantly worse after being the Pac 12 Freshman of the Year in 2023.  Constantly missed T-Mac when he was wide open, lost out on a number of TDs and a good amount of yardage, half the time T-Mac still almost made miraculous catches on the bad passes too. 3. He hurt his ankle over the summer and missed all of fall camp only to return to practice a few days before the season started and I think he had to deal with it all season long and was slightly limping at times mid season too, but kept fighting through it to still be a 1st team All American.
    • Good luck to Burns. He’s fine as a third pairing defensemen but Rod is too stubborn to do that.
