I Was Not Impress With Matt Moore Today

You guys are drama queens. One game and Moore is already being criticized. He had ONE pick (I repeat, ONE) that was a pretty heady play by a DB and he connected with Steve on a great pass play. Sure, he missed a TD throw, but Jake makes a million bad throws. Oh yeah, and Moore hit more than 1-2 guys today.

F the haters, Moore gets my congrats.

Yeah, Moore is God! The same mentality that drove people to see Jake as anything more than a glorified back-up QB for the last few years is the same Jedi Mind Trick that is deceiving people into believing that Moore is a genuine NFL starter.

Be for real, people! No Jake! No Moore!

Moore played marginally, but he's NOT he long term answer. He managed one TD scoring drive at the outset of the game and was held to 3 FGs the remainder. This is far from an eye-poping performance. Coming versus an 1-10 opponent makes the feat even less impressive. Tampa very well could have beaten us if Freeman wouldn't have thrown most of his picks in the redzone and Barth missed two EASY FGs.

The victory had little to do with Moore as it did Freeman making critical mistakes and our defense getting LUCKY at the right time.

Unfortunately, that was probably our last W of the year.

For those complaining about the pick, really it was no different from many of Jake's picks. We just seem to be snake bitten this year. Balls seem to be always bouncing off our receivers right into the hands of the oppossing team. After the pick last week off of Smitty's leg I am not surprised by anything. Seems NO has all the luck this year that we had last year. I wasn't impressed with Moore either but I didn't expact that much out of him. Until we get a more imaginative offensive scheme and better play calling, no one with have much luck with this offense.

I think Moore was exactly what people claimed he would be and why he should replace Jake. Moore ain't great or even that good. What Moore gives you is a mobile QB who simply will not shoot the team in the foot repeatedly taking them out of a game. Moore will let the rest of the team win or lose. Jake too many times took the game away from the rest of the team. Plus, Moore can hit an open Smitty on a go route....Jake gets that open throw picked or puts it out of reach for Smitty.

but like many have said....both Moore and Jake are victims of a poorly coached offense.

No matter the outcome, you always seem to come off sounding as if you will defend Jake to his grave, very "John Fox like" it seems.

I don't get you people complaining about Moore. He got us a W without making us look like a sh!t team. What do you expect for someone who has rode the pine with us for 3 years, and his 4th NFL start ever?

The way we prepare, I'm sure he get's very few reps in practice as well.......so quit with the bullsh!t people.

    • So how about the Mondays after we lose? Because those Mondays after the Jags, Pats, and Bills games better have been run suicides until your legs fall off...
    • Saints trade WR Shaheed to Seahawks Seahawks get: WR Rashid Shaheed Saints get: 2026 fourth-round pick, 2026 fifth-round pick Seahawks' grade: A- Saints' grade: B+ One of the NFL's hottest passing teams just got better. The Seahawks currently rank third in EPA per dropback (0.25) and first in success rate on dropbacks (53%). And now they are adding Shaheed in a move that makes sense both on the field and in terms of where the Seahawks are as a franchise. Shaheed, 27, is averaging 1.8 yards per route run this season. But I think that sells him short because that number is down a bit from his career average entering this year (2.0) and he's been playing a role that includes running fewer vertical routes (34%) compared to last year (44%). Shaheed also has consistently posted above-average open scores in ESPN's receiver score metrics, including a 63 this season that ranks 28th among wide receivers. As a complement to Jaxon Smith-Njigba, I expect Shaheed will run downfield more often and be a bigger threat in that role than rookie Tory Horton was. When Cooper Kupp returns, he and Shaheed will make for a nice pair of secondary threats behind one of the best receivers in the league in Smith-Njigba. This is the time to strike for the Seahawks. FPI gives Seattle an 84% chance to make the playoffs and a 5% shot at winning the Super Bowl. This addition helps boost their chances without mortgaging their future the way the Colts did in the Sauce Gardner trade. Shaheed is a pending free agent but given the leverage of the moment for the Seahawks and their need I think they ought to be plenty willing to pay the cost. Shaheed is young enough to where if Seattle doesn't retain him he should sign a free agent contract that would yield Seattle a compensatory pick -- if the Seahawks don't nullify that pick with signings of their own. Because the Seahawks currently have $79 million in cap space next year, per OverTheCap, getting that compensatory pick is not guaranteed. The Saints are not rolling in cap space the way the Seahawks are -- and thus would land a compensatory pick for Shaheed -- but they got more draft capital this way than they otherwise would have. Considering New Orleans' 1-8 record, this should have been an easy decision.
