Has Fitterer ever talked about CJ?

There are numerous quotes of Fitterer talking abt Bryce since last November to todays article on panthers.com

When u listened to FITT press conference abt what he is looking for in a QB, he pretty much described Young.

can anyone find Fitterer’s assessment of CJ? I’m trying to see what he thinks of CJ.

I’m of the believe that FITT & Tepper have been sold on young before they even hired Reich back in November.

whether we take CJ is really how much Reich & McCOWN can change FITT & Tepper’s mind IMO.

The night before Young's pro day, Fitterer said a group of "seven or eight" Panthers personnel surrounded him at the center of a table. They discussed Young's life on and off the field — he ordered the scallops and a salad — and they left impressed with his poise.

"He held court," Fitterer said. "He was so well-spoken, so well thought-out. When he talked about his preparation, when he talked about how he studies, how he sees the game, he's at a different level. He's already at that NFL level, which is great to see.

"Nothing's too big for him. Like, he can walk into any environment and be in total control. At 21 years old, if I walked into a restaurant, sat around with a bunch of 40, 50-year-old men, it'd be a little intimidating. Instead, he just sat there and asked us questions. We asked him questions. … Just a really, really solid person."

How many of these just asking questions threads do you need?

We heard you the first several threads you declared you're staunchly pro Bryce Young.

Maybe if u don’t keep replying to every single one of them with ur dislike for Bryce, they might die down faster…lol.

My guy, u r too triggered abt this Bryce topic. Relax!

Start a thread. Poo posts that don't praise your remarks. Call others triggered.

Seems like people for Young are being more aggressive with the justifications. Napoleon complex maybe?  Don’t know how many more times people can say no thank you nicely

How about this: how many Young advocates are 6’3” or thereabouts and how many are under 6’? I have a presumed outcome here.

I’m a Stroud guy (I think) but I like the mentals of Young better. But the physicals of CJ. I wish they were one dude lol.

When I heard that Reich had been a preacher for a bit after playing football that got me thinking about Rhule and just ugh. Then I heard CJ going out of his way to talk about God and then Reich talking about how the 2 of them talked about faith etc.

all of that is completely harmless and perfectly normal…or it’s not. I don’t know. But then I hear Bryce talk and I’m thinking I’d rather have this guy…but he’s tiny and gonna get killed.

I just hope that the decision is made for the right reasons and not for anything outside of football. Neither are bad guys off the field so that’sa non issue.

 Maybe I’m going crazy. Idk

Yea I can see that. And I think that’s exactly what he did. He is far more comfortable with the idea than most would.

Yep, that's my concern, the difference is Russ is a tad taller, but a significantly stockier build to his frame, which is my concern with Young, not his height.

This was well said. It’s a tough decision for certain.

for me, QB is primarily mental. When I see who I consider top QBs of all time or even currently, what set them aside, is the mental aspect of the game.
They are usually not the fastest, the strongest, the tallest. The come in all shape & size but the common denominator is always mental processing & ability to rise to the moment most of the time.
i think bryce has that!

    • He does have speed. 21+ top end speed is very fast for a linebacker and his 3 cone drill time is considered excellent, close to elite.
    • This is awesome because you get to see the perspectives of the scouts--get a glimpse behind the curtain. I wonder whose doing this was; I am curious as to why David Tepper allowed it. Maybe it was his wife. Maybe Dan.  At least from my perspective--and probably one shared by other fans--when David Tepper bought the team, he closed everything off too much to the fans, and really didn't give an explanation. Things were obviously done because he (and/or some others wanted to do it). Remember when they used the guise of construction and all that to keep fans from seeing the team during practice? I know there are laws and safety and all that, but Tepper could've made it happen. And, of course, we all know that they essentially fired Jeremy from his independent contractor gig as a photojournalist. I never understood why they'd do that (and the negative reverberations obviously affected Jeremy and ultimately this place--i.e, us fans). The pie was (and is) certainly big enough to throw some scraps to the independents. I realize that you can't necessarily open the floodgates, but a few different perspectives from indy journalists whether in word or photos is a good thing in my mind.  So, it's great to see different perspectives. I will say this however: it is not without risk, as you know there will be some buster who will be calling the scouts out if the players flop. I think we should all keep in mind that the buck stops with the GM. It's nice to have one, however, that is so convicted in his people and process--and ultimately success, that he's willing to give fans access to this type of information. Pass this on to Tepper.
    • I hope he ends up being our best ever at the position. Ryan Kalil left big shoes behind that we haven't quite been able to fill since.
