Lucasfilm Reportedly Cancels Indiana Jones Spinoff Series for Disney+

The Indiana Jones spin-off series reported to be in the works for Disney+ has been crated and wheeled into the museum of canceled projects. In November, news broke that Disney and Lucasfilm were developing an Indiana Jones TV series set within the world of Harrison Ford's globe-trotting archaeologist adventurer as the studios ready a fifth Indiana Jones film, the James Mangold-directed Dial of Destiny. Insider Jeff Sneider suggested the series was to be a prequel to 1981's Raiders of the Lost Ark and focus on Indy's unseen mentor, Abner Ravenwood, an Egyptologist and archaeologist who is dead by the time of the first film's events in 1936.

Might be a good thing that it's cancelled. Source

Probably for the best.

Ive loved Indiana Jones for 3 decades but its run its course.  Let it live fondly in our memories.

 

Its not like the Star Wars universe where you can tell other stories.  Its about a guy who is way too old to play his younger self and honestly, who is going to play a young Harrison Ford?

There's another movie coming out this summer with an even older Ford in the role.

      Unfortunately business is business especially when there are large sums of money on the table. Goes the same for player and ownership. Does not make it right either way.  Why would he not want to play for the niners? Closer to home with a team that has a chance of delivering a SB trophy.

      I don’t know if it’s him bad mouthing his former situation in public or my pettiness but either way I’m not a fan. Dude was on playoff teams getting paid millions to entertain. I’m not better that because and I am better than that. You don’t bad mouth your former employer in public. Esp after getting over paid and two, poor little Russian baby didn’t get the playing spot he wanted. Rod had him exactly where is was supposed to be.  He had a mean lip check and did defend our players. Specifically the devils game around Christmas where is our Haula on his ass. Cool. Thank you. Didn’t see Burnsy bad mouthing and his play dropped off too.    sorry, but Orlov doesn’t get a pass from me. See you twice a year…

      I don't really care about your post at all. I just saw the direction of the discussion and this snippet from an article I read earlier in the day was a good spot to put non-Panthers info. I mostly don't care about the players personal lives. That's off the field/personal poo. Not really any of my business.  I also don't know him personally so what would be the point of congratulating him outside basically attempting to draw attention to myself like so many in the social media/internet realm.
