The Rags will have their heads swiveling all night with the Devils going back and forth with their speed.

Playoff Rags last season was simply Shesterkin.   THAT'S IT.

Without him, Rags aren't even WildCard worthy.

And the Rags are only as "dirty" as Trouba and let me tell you :  He's got NOTHING on Brad "Bitch-Baby" Marchand.

Trouba trying to even catch Hughes on the open-ice is like trying to catch-up to a high-speed Ferrari on a friggin' Bicycle.  🤣

This is why Trouba almost always goes after Nico Hischier.

And Nico always clowns him when he does.

Marchand is dirty in a dick way, Trouba is dirty in a dangerous way. And while speed is important it’s not going to matter during board battles and puck cycling. All it takes is a headshot from Trouba and your guy is out for the remainder of the round. The Canes experienced that last year.

Not sure, but since you're on a Canes forum, are you trying to convince us or yourself just how good "your" Devils are?

I feel like he’s just a fan of his team just like we are with the Canes. With that said, from a neutral perspective, the Rangers look to be the better team on paper. From a pure depth perspective, the Rangers outmatch the Devils once you get down to the third and fourth lines.

That said the rangers lost 3/4 with a total of 3 points against the devils this year.

A 1-hour replay of last night's game is on NHL Network at noon today, if anyone is interested.

I watched the YouTube NHL league highlight reel, but it was the Florida announcers. I'd much rather listen to Tripp and Big Mike.

Give Tripp some cred, though. Last game of the season and he did not refer to the Canes PP as a "work in progress." It was good for the 80th game of the season, but not last night.

I watched the best parts of the game again on Bally Sports replay, that last 3 minutes with 4 goals scored was the wildest play I’ve seen lol.

The Rangers are much worse 5v5 and much slower than the Devils. That matters--but it's also something you can say about the Rangers in their series against the Canes last year--all a team had to do was win on the road once and they did and we didn't.  We are to the place where experience matters and considering the Canes and Rangers have it they both salivate at facing the Devils over other similarly good teams because the Devils quite literally havent been here before.  It's a thing until they prove it isn't.  I hope they beat NYR.

    • The panthers are such a trash organization at this point that all the huddle can do is argue about which panthers team is historically the worst…good times.
    • Well, hope they're not worried about a torn Labrum or Rotator Cuff, as someone who went through that myself, I know those don't have anything show up on X-Rays but from the MRI, so this is kinda a nothing update, hope it's not a tear or his season is already over if they decide to do surgery now. Which is basically what would be needed to get him to 100% for the start of next season's training camp if it's a labrum.  If he plays the season with it and then does surgery, he's not going to be ready for camp and probably not the start of the season either.
    • I always try to not pay much attention to a team’s preseason win/loss record. The 1982 Washington and 2021 LA Rams both lost every game in the preseason and went on to win the Super Bowl, whereas the 2008 Detroit Lions and 2017 Cleveland Browns both won every game in reason and went on to lose every regular season game. There’s many examples of teams that lose in preseason that go on to have good seasons, but equally there are teams that lose in preseason and that continues in the regular season. Which will we be?  I think our floor is a handful of wins, while our ceiling will probably be around the 9-10 win mark. The latter will require significant improvement from the whole team and coaching staff, and will also need Bryce to play like the QB we drafted him to be. I want to be optimistic and predict a winning season, but it’s really difficult as a Panthers fan!
