Our DC who Reich let pick his entire defensive staff had nothing to do with our highest drafted defensive player??

I never said that. I said no one here knows what's going on in that draft room.

Also, appealing to authority is how we get guys defending Everette Browns, Ealys, and Gaudlens.

Appealing to authority? The staff isn’t concerned if people on a board love the pick or not. It’s not going to change their mind. I’d rather just wait and see.

Appealing to Frank Reich and Ejiro Evero is a little bit different than appealing to Marty Hurney.

Of course they don't care? We're both not on the staff. This is a forum, where people can give opinions. If your opinion cannot be argued, and you have to appeal to authority to give it weight, then you probably don't have much to back your opinion.

This is just a replay of Kony Ealy and Gaulden.

It'll take 3 years and then we'll be allowed to have any criticism of a move staff has made.

We aren’t appealing to authority. The “authority” isn’t reading this. I’m just willing to wait and see on draft picks and a brand new staff. It’s ok to gamble on mid/late 3rd rounders. It’s really not that big of a deal.

    • I assume you are quoting my still. If so, I don't know what your argument is since mine was simply showing a play where Bryce scored a TD against the Rams in the playoffs where another poster used a similar still of Herbert's line to defend his poor performance last night. Like I said, Herbert is a better QB but Bryce wins the game last night for the Chargers. It simply is something he does better than Herbert and would play to his strengths. Someone even said earlier Chargers only win 1 or 2 games this year if Bryce was their QB which is so absurdly laughable it wasn't even worth trying to address. I mean this thread is literally called "Bryce Young is the worst QB in Panther's History" so I understand there is no objective arguments to be had here but I found that amusing.
    • I think his knee would make a good reason to switch to guard IF he returns.  Half don't.  Half of those don't last too long.  The strain on a knee (320lb man) vs speed rushers is more substantial.  So I would keep him if I could on a small contract (he will make $17.5 in 2026 fully guaranteed) and think of him as a possible guard for the post Lewis/Hunt era.  Knee injuries in big men are not invitations to invest in them.
    • I'd give anything to go back to a 4-3 but we are so removed from having the pieces for that. All because Tepper wanted to force this 3-4 on all our coaches.
