I just meant career wise/in general, especially when it comes time to paying him actual money. For 1m/year or whatever it is, a young/hungry player trying to prove himself to get paid it isn’t the end of the world to be the 2. After that we can just plug in a vet for a little more with the same or better outcome given he doesn’t get a lot better and learn to catch all of a sudden (which is unlikely). It’s done all the time at HB. Like Foreman I’m 2022 for example (3mil)
