Prayer request update/thanks

Several months ago I came here to ask for your prayers and consideration with regard to our newly born, premature son.

He's doing exceptionally well as he approaches 9 lbs, not too bad considering he started just over two pounds. He's slightly ahead of where he should be developmentally and we couldn't be happier or more blessed.

Thank you for all your prayers and well wishes.

Thanks for the update. I've thought about you several times. So relieved to hear positive news.

Great to hear---I can relate. My little girl spent the first week of her life in the NICU, but ended up being perfectly fine.

Speaking of preemies my dad was almost 3 mos premature and was not even 2lbs when he was born---and that was 1944. It's a miracle he survived and even more so he's perfectly normal.

Congrats!

    • Nina King continues to run circles around the rest of college basketball. She's been ahead of the curve on everything, and is the biggest reason for Duke's success post-K IMO. I think Scheyer is great at many things, but Duke went into the NIL era 100% ready whereas everyone else was playing catchup.
    • Happy they won convincingly instead of letting them hang around. Montreal is cooked, and rather than play hockey, they've decided to take some really cheap shots at guys. I get a player may feel a need to set the tone, and I understand how that works. But to 2-hand cross check someone intentionally in the face, to have a guy down on the ice and put his head into the ice with a stick, to just start punching anyone who gets within arm's reach- that's not setting the tone. That is nothing short of playing dirty.  That said, the Canes.... oh boy. They could have run this score to 6-0 with half a power play. It's embarrassing how bad the PP is. If the Canes go to the Cup finals against a team who scores at least 1 goal per game on the PP, they'll lose the close games because of the lack of results on the PP.
