EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- The unpredictable Carolina Panthers crashed the Giants Stadium going-away party Sunday, scoring their second consecutive blowout win over a favored opponent behind Jonathan Stewart's record-setting rushing performance. p/ Despite being eliminated from the playoffs and facing a New York Giants team playing for its postseason life, the Panthers won 41-9 in perhaps their most impressive showing of the season.

You'd think that more fans would be talking about how Stewart carved up one of the better defenses in the league, especially after running over the vaulted Vikings run defense last week.

J. Stew is a man. He is a beast. And it is a shame that some Panthers fans do not appreciate what they have in Jonathan Stewart because they see the world through D. Will-colored glasses. Yes, I said it.

Now, I am not going to get into an argument about who is better, because I think it is pointless, and I also believe that supposed Huddle gurus will continue to shout from the rooftops about how Williams is so much better. But, I have been one of the few on here who has pointed out the fact that Stewart has done more in the Shadow of Deangelo Williams, than Williams ever did running spot duty behind DeShaun Foster.

Your comparing apples to oranges. Williams is wayyy better than foster which helps stewart by having a great back to share the load. Also our O-line is much better than when foster-williams were a combo.

This happens a lot on this board. I believe you say stewart is better is because the majority thinks williams is better. When a player gets popular fans put on the glasses, but the fans opinions don't change what happens on the field. While it's annoying that sometimes the fans who admire a certain player may stretch his abilities a little bit, it doesn't degrade that player's abilities. Williams is better than Stewart IMO. But like you said, it's pointless to debate that.

The only thing I think a lot of people have wrong is their speed. when stewart was a rookie I bet he was faster than williams. People think williams is the change of pace burner when really they're very simmilar.

Word. They both have their own different strength & weakness compare to each others, that it help us when we use them right. I hope we can keep them as long neither are demanding too much money. If their agents get greedy than themself, they should fire them then.

We have two great backs. Hope that we can keep both of them next year. I hope the defense continues to play as it has the last few games. And I hope Moore continues to be a solid QB, or we bring in someone else who is solid. Do that, and next year should be an enjoyable year.

    • Saw this show up in my new feed. Nice to see a couple of our rookies making it into the top 5 so far, even if it is a pff measure... From https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-top-15-rookies-week-9-2025 ... 4. TE Mitchell Evans, Carolina Panthers (78.7) Evans struggled in the Panthers’ tight win over the Packers, finishing with a 41.8 PFF overall grade — third worst among tight ends this week. He was not targeted in the game and played only one snap in pass protection. He did log 15 run-blocking snaps, and although he earned a 68.9 PFF run-blocking grade in zone looks (seven snaps), his 39.0 mark in gap schemes (second worst for the week) dragged him down to a 46.6 PFF run-blocking grade overall — sixth worst for the week. Despite seeing zero targets over his past two games, Evans still leads the Carolina tight end group with a 74.3 PFF receiving grade. He has caught all nine of his targets for 90 yards, six first downs and two touchdowns. Evans also leads the Panthers’ tight end group in PFF run-blocking grade (72.2). He has recorded a 20.5% positive play rate across 175 snaps.  5. WR Tetairoa McMillan, Carolina Panthers (78.6) McMillan had a better day against the Packers, recording four catches for 46 yards. Most of that production came in the first quarter via two 16-yard catches — one of which he snatched from Carrington Valentine’s hands, who was in perfect position to break up the pass. McMillan accounted for three first downs on the day, although Green Bay was able to limit his impact after the catch, holding him to 0.8 yards after the catch per reception. McMillan now has 41 catches for 558 yards — a top-15 mark. He is also tied for second with 19 explosive gains of 15-plus yards. Three of McMillan’s catches against the Packers came between the numbers, bringing him to 22 for 318 yards and 19 first downs (tied for second most) this season. He owns a 26.1% threat rate and a 76.6 PFF receiving grade between the numbers. He also ranks in the top 10 in explosive gains (10) and yards after the catch per reception (5.5) within that area of the field.
    • At least we don't need to hear overreacting about towels ...
    • Actually there is, try being a Charlotte Hornets fan. I mean the team fuging moved at its peak and hasn't recovered since and that was 25 years ago
