..according to Joe buck, and Troy Aikman, Jake is still our QB..

I hate when those two idiots call our games. Granted, it doesn't happen often, but they make me want to listen to the radio. anyway, they seem to think that Jakes injury is legit, and that he'll be back for the start of next year..and if hes still on the team, and Fox is still here, you know there will be a camp competition...and he'll probably win..

Fox is going to be back, the guy is a good coach, his only weakness is his hard-headed side. Yea jakes injury is very legit, don't get why we are still talking bout it, and yea he will be back next year, front office wont let 13 million walk out the front door just like that. He and Moore will definitely do battle and camp, and you never know what could happen. This could be a wake up call for Jake and he could come out on fire, or he could suck and we got Moore. Either way, it's going to be fine.

Not if Fox sticks with a sucking Jake for too many games to start the season before finally benching him. Remember this Fox we are talking about here.

If Jake does start, it will take another injury to get Moore in. The Panther's have to pay Jake 13m no matter if he is on the team or not. So I say let him go and move on without him.

Jake's injury IS legit, but plenty of QBs have lost starting jobs with legit injuries and backups being great... If Moore comes through in the final game of the season, he has a good chance of starting next season, period. You don't bench someone who is 4-1, coming off of 3 HUGE wins, especially when he's putting up the numbers he is... Fox KNOWS this. Fox looks better the better Moore does, period.

Fox will be back for at least his final season. Hurney isn't going anywhere. And I'd bet a few bucks that Jake will go into camp AS the starter. It'll take an amazing camp by Moore to unseat him. If Jake wins the job, and stinks up the joint at the start of next season, however, he'll pass the torch to Moore. Not what I want, not what anyone wants. But that's how I honestly feel Fox will handle the situation.

Trust me...JR and the Fanbase more than likely WON'T let that happen. If JR let's Fox repeat this season, he will lose a good chunk of his fanbase for a long time. People will be EXTREMELY pissed...Fox/Delhomme will prolly get David Carr-like threats at the home stadium. I

It has to be more of a "Well we gave him this ridiculous contract, so we have to support him and keep smiling like idiots" kind of statement. Moore has outperformed Jake in every way. Even statistically, he betters himself every week in his own QB rating. He is the real deal. The kid wins. It's time. They have to be retarded not to understand that.

    • To kick this up, The Athletic has a really comprehensive piece out where pretty much all QB questions are addressed. It is worth seeing.  https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/7083539/2026/03/04/starting-quarterback-projections-free-agency-draft/?source=user_shared_article I’m putting something specific here but it should have a thread or something. It is an extensive exercise.  This is a dense write up with a lot of column inches used, about the Jets and Murray and Reich, all this stuff.. then it goes to backup QB and there is Dalton.  I am pasting that part: As for Dalton, Reich is installing the offense he was trying to run in Carolina in 2023 before he got fired, and Dalton was with the Panthers then; he’s an ideal option as a veteran backup to replace Taylor. Reich said this about Dalton in 2023: “The way he's throwing the football, the way he works through progressions, the way he handles the operation. … Since day one (when) he walked in the door, I'm like, 'This guy is starter-worthy.' You guys know I've said that all along. He's, in my opinion, one of the best 32 quarterbacks in the world.” ——— That’s true love lol. I never heard any of this. Pretty crazy I think, considering how the year went.   Anyway the dream is not dead. .
    • The Seahawks traded for wide receiver/returner Rashid Shaheed at the trade deadline. He proved to be a key acquisition. Shaheed returned a punt and a kickoff for touchdowns in the regular season and had a 95-yard kickoff return in the postseason. Shaheed, though, is scheduled for free agency. So, the 12 games he played, including the postseason, might be the extent of his time in Seattle. Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that Shaheed and the Seahawks are not close to an extension, and the expectation is that the two-time Pro Bowler will hit free agency. Shaheed has 153 receptions for 2,243 yards and 12 touchdowns in his four-year career to go along with three punt return touchdowns and a kickoff return touchdown. He ranks 13th on PFT’s top-100 free agents. https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/report-rashid-shaheed-appears-headed-to-free-agency
