Does anyone else find this offensive?

Last night during the Dallas/Skins game the announcers were talking about the NFL rule that a team must interview a minority before hiring a new HC. Snyder interviewed one of his coordinaters and asked Goddell if that counted. Does anyone else find this offensive?

I find it offensive because, imo, it seems like minorities that are being interviewed can be under the impression that they are there only because of the color of their skin and not their abilities.

The NFL is a billion dollar business. Doesn't it make sense for owners to hire the best coach regardless of the color of their skin. I wanted Singletary for Carolina. I thought he was the best coach for us because of his intensity and history of winning as a player. He knows how to win and won't settle for less.

Am I just wierd or something because I think this is just flat out insulting?

So what if he has an eye on another guy what dose it matter that guy is gonna get the Pos. I mean there are plenty of good black coaches in the NFL. If the Redskins dont want them hell thats there loss. Why dose everything have to be put under a microscope these days.

:slowly backs out of thread:

Really, threads about race never go over well anywhere. Just let the NFL do what they think is best, and hopefully we get more and more black coaches in professional sports.

It most of the time hits the tinderbox real fast.......

    • Great season regardless of what happens. From starting out 4-14 to ending 44-38 is incredible progress and future is bright from here. I do think we can beat the Heat and then win on the road against either Orlando or Philly assuming Embiid doesn’t miraculously return sooner. But if not, a higher draft pick is nice too
    • I know a DT that's asking for a trade: 🤔 maybe a home discount can be worked out. Dan Morgan could create up to $80 million in space through restructures of stars like Derrick Brown, Jaycee Horn, or Taylor Moton. They could also include players like Tershawn Wharton ($18.6M cap hit) in the trade to balance the salaries. Carolina Receives: DT  Dexter Lawrence II New York Receives: 2026 2nd Round Pick (No. 51 Overall): A premium Day 2 selection that fits the for  Lawrence  after his 0.5-sack season in 2025. WR  Xavier Legette : A young, high-upside receiver who provides the playmaking depth HC John Harbaugh needs for his offense. 2026 4th Round Pick: Immediate mid-round value. 2027 4th Round Pick (via MIN): Future capital acquired in the  Adam Thielen  trade.  ----- Stone Forsythe* (another young player as a potential trade option)provides immediate offensive line retooling for HC John Harbaugh.    John Harbaugh's history in Baltimore proves he values draft volume over individual superstars.    Just my 2cents
    • Moved to Tuesday, not Wednes because of scheduling with Flyers game or something in Philly. But I don't feel good about the Heat.  It has been a great season regardless.  Team just been playing so hard to move up since a bad start and just picked a bad time to get gassed.  It's like almost everyone is shooting cold at the same time even wide open shots.   Maybe atmosphere and playoffs kick off a spark.  I'd rather be in a series than a one and done though. The team has a good foundation to build on regardless of what happens.
