What other teams could be interested in Moore?

It doesn't really matter who wants him, the Panthers will match whatever offer he gets, I'm sure. So he will definitely be a Panther next year =D

Could be an offer with a poison pill that the Panthers could not match.

Also....if Foxy is still here...there is the Jake thing.

Also if we tender him for a 1st and 2nd round pick it might be a good idea to let him go.

+1

its less than 3 mill if we tag him this way from what i have read. that be a great gamble, either we ge matt for 1 more year at a real discount or we get more than market value for him (cassel had a much better year and only netted a 2nd).

Cassel was practically given away for free.

Moore will likely be kept, either by Fox or someone else, because nobody is going to come in here and think that it's worth releasing the best QB on the roster even if they are "remaking" the team. If it is a new coach, I'd expect he'd be the only QB to stay. if Fox stays, even if he wants Jake to start, he's not gonna give away Moore in his last year, when he may be needed if Jakey starts throwing TDs to the other team again.

Well, I would imagine anyone who would be picking early, might prefer picking up a first round QB rather than going for Moore.

The teams that will definitely be seeking a QB are, Redskins, Rams, Bills, Raiders. Currently the Rams will be picking 1st, Skins 6th, Bills 7th and Raiders 8th. So each team has a relaistic shot at one of the top two or three QBs int he draft. I really can't see them giving up high draft picks for someone who may not be better than someone they can draft themselves.

The Browns, 49ers, Seahawks and Titans have question marks at QB, but would not realistically make a move for Moore as they either have money invested in QBs already OR Moore would not be a definite upgrade.

The Vikings, Bengals, Jags, Broncos and Texans all need an heir. Their current starters are either old, injury prone or questionable if they will be there. These guys 'may' want their heir as a high draft pick BUT they will not want to give up draft picks for someone who will be wanting to start right away. None of these teams would pull the trigger, unless the Broncos lose Orton.

Teams like the Chiefs, Cowboys, Steelers etc have all reently drafted/invested in a QB and would not give up compensation to get Moore.

Therefore the only realistic teams I can see are the Redskins, Seahawks, Raiders, Bills and Rams. Out of those the Rams WILL use their first round on a QB, the other teams all have top ten picks and thus someone will miss out on their QB. Therefore I see four teams potentially looking at him. Despite that, I can only realistically seeing the Seahawks making sense as the Bills have a coupleof QBs who have played moderately well, the Redskins want the glamour player and Raiders want the athletic freak.

    • Maybe a bit of a homer take but I can't give us a grade lower than A.   Freeling was arguably the best LT prospect in the draft.  His athletic ability is off the chart and at 6'7" that can move.  It was a no brainer pick.   Hunter's key word is Violence. Putting him next to Brown should scare an offensive coordinator. These two give Scourton and Phillips plenty of chances to get one on one opportunities. Brazzell, another tall receiver with sprinter speed.  Our WR room is filled with tall talented WR.  Brazzell is going to give us a WR that can take to roof off the defense.  Basically Jimmy Horn with size. W. Lee III has a nickname of the Blanket. (heard this on the Beleav podcast with J. Stewart)  What a great name.  A great value in the 5th round. Hecht A strong, fast and extremely smart center. Many had him listed as the best center in the draft.  He's most likely a starter sooner than later. Wheatley A good safety in round 5.  Someone who could see playing time.   Kuwatch  I love this pick.  At minimum he will be a key piece on special teams and with some good coaching he'll see some packages where he'll play.  His down piece is he doesn't stay up in the running game.  Good coaching will fix this.  He reminds me a bit of A.J. Klein.   All these picks were great value.  I believe everyone of them were graded higher than the pick we took them.   Dan Morgan is IMO doing a great job turning this team into a good team with great depth.
    • Moton is a class act.
    • Sure, that is possible. That’s what, an extra 55 yards a game on average and 7 more TDs? What if he’s just 15th?  I imagine they would extend him in that situation due to the belief that he’ll keep trending up. maybe a 3 year contract to prove he can be top 10? Sounds like a Tepper plan.
