Exposing NFL Homers

Here is a humorous article I put together looking at every team's homers and what they might say. This way you'll be prepared when you call them out on being idiots :).....thoughts on your team's?

I feel as if some of these are 100% reflections of the entire team's fan base. Check em all out...

I think the Panthers one is pretty funny

I swear to god Cowboys fans are the most ignorant people I've ever talked to. I thought it was a myth but jesus are these people f**king retarded. Alright so I'm apart of another forum which I won't mention and I typically get into it with the Cowboys fans as I am not afraid to call the boyz overrated or to discuss how many time the cats have been cheated by refs in their games, in particular 2007. But anyways anytime there is a particular discussion of who is the best in the league at their position this f**ker always throws a Cowboy in there. This tard thinks D-Ware is more important at his position than P. Willis. Yet we all know D-Ware is basically a pass rusher and would be a DE in a 4-3. I acknowledge that D WAre is the best pass rusher in the game but Peppers probably goes into coverage more than him(not as of late).

He thinks Steve Smith sucks and is not capable of being a top 5 WR anymore because he is 30. He says this without acknowledging Delhomme blowing ass or the fact that he's constantly doubled team with no help. LIke I said ignorant as f**k. It's amazing Smith is on the brink of 1000 yds despite this. He thinks Miles Austin is better than Steve Smith.

He also believes Cowboys RB corps> Panthers RB corps. Again ignorant as f**k Stewart is better than any back on their team. Two 1000 yd franchise backs are not better than 2 one dimensional runners and 1 all around back?.

Oh and not mention Deangelo. In this guys book Deangelo is basically another Maroney. He thinks Ray Rice is better than Deangelo(Rice is good in his own right though). So we get to talking about Chris Johnson vs Deangelo. And I'm like well I think Deangelo is a more skilled runner but Johnson is the fastest guy in the league. I go onto say however that Johnson also has 100 more carries than D Will and will wear down faster than Williams as time goes on. But this guy says that Johnson totally out classes Williams in every phase of the game, vision, acceleration, quickness, speed and power. Total fuging douche bag.

Their whole team and franchise can go to hell. At least we beat them when it counted when the refs couldn't f**k us and we stomped on them. Oh and I don't care how many yards or TDs Tony Romo ever gets because he is candyass of a QB who can't handle the pressure and has never won a playoff game. He will always be a loser in my book. Delhomme was never that talented but at least in his prime he had guts and a moxy to say f**k it and win it.

End Rant

Every fan is a homer, if you're not, you're not a true fan.

That being said you can still be a homer and be realistic about other teams.

Haha, no. Go over to the Lions forums and I'm sure you'll find plenty of fans there who are VERY realistic, and the furthest thing from homers. You can be a fan without being a homer.

I'm sure you were "realistic" and NC States chances of winning the ACC this year too, right?

There is nothing wrong with being a homer. The only problem I have is with the fans who claim not to be homers, yet they want somebody fired after every single loss, as if they expected their team to go undefeated and for their coaching staff and players to be perfect every single week. That's about as far from being "realistic" as you can get.

Uh, if you're referring to football we were expected to do very well, good one I guess?

And there is a problem with being a homer.. it's very annoying. UNC>everyone, right? Lol.

If that's true, then everybody that has a favorite team is annoying unless they kiss opposing fans ass and concede every point when they're debating football.

And no, I never claimed that UNC would do anything more than what they did this year. I have said all along that years 4-5 is when I expect Butch Davis to really start to get it going. I still consider myself a UNC homer whether I had some doubts about this season or not though.

    • You guys are just going to have to accept the fact that Dan Morgan is a mid GM best case scenario currently. I used to have people get very belligerent over defending Scott Fitterer too. And that's not hyperbole. People used to go to bat for that guy like he was blood related. We have a truckload invested in the OL and what do we have to show for it? The whole unit is already banged up including one of our big signings. Even without all that the group has largely taken a step back from last year in pass protection. Then you get to the QB room and there's only two conclusions you can make about Dan Morgan. Either he deliberately ignored it two years in a row on his own accord or he took orders from Tepper to do so. Either scenario says he's not fit to be an NFL GM.
    • Frank, ceding control of the defense in no way verifies that Tepper told Canales to bench Young.    It certainly buttresses the idea that Canales would need permission to bench him but that is as far as you can take it.    After that it is pure speculation and it doesn’t make sense.
    • Uhh, okay yes that happened. I didn’t like the pick either I am a 3rd or later RB guy. Always. Actually hated the CMC pick too. Hated the Stewart pick.  No one wants to talk about trading the #39 in that draft and what he did with that.  Got #52, #155, and the Rams 2025 2nd to boot.   The 52 and 155 plus our 142 5th rounder to go up for a Brooks Everyone wants to forget about the 2025 2nd for that Rams trade  which was used to move up for Scourton.  That Rams trade down was a great deal for us.
