How is it a stupid post and how am I a dumb ass? Stewart has put up a better year this year than Williams thats a fact.

Why even make a thread you dumb fool. They are both panthers!!!! Why even start this poo. This is a team in history who never had a good back for more then 1 season. Now we have 2 who like each other and play well togther and you want too make it into he 's better then this guy situation. What is the point is my question? What are you trying too get out of starting this thread?

If given a choice, I'd prefer Williams to Stewart... but why settle for one? They are both great because of the line. They're both amazing backs. But they both bring different things to the table and let's be happy we have 'em both.

edit: err... I didn't mean to imply the line was why they were great, but they both play behind a good line that allows them to do very well!

doesn't it feel good knowing you have not only one, but TWO elite top 10 backs?

Yep. If we never got Stewart, we might not score much at all today.

That's a fact? You realize Stewart got a lot of rush because Williams was hurt. I'm sure if Williams wasn't hurt at all this year, you might say something differently. Fact!

since everyone likes numbers and using them to say one is better than the other...blah blah here is what the stats would be is you took ypc and multiplied it by attempts to get both runners at the same carries

Before Game

D. Williams 216 1117 5.2

J. Stewart 221 1008 4.9

Adjusted to show same carries

D. Williams 221 1142 5.2

J. Stewart 221 1133 5.1

Actual

D. Williams 216 1117 5.2

J. Stewart 221 1133 5.1

Just showing you all how even they really are. We have 2 starting RB's that if they don't get selfish (ala Chris Johnson) will have no problem carrying the load together. Let's hope for a few more years with this tandem.

Wow did you all really just jump all over the dude and call him a dumb ass because he gave congrats to Stewart and simply said he had a better year? The title was misleading as I thought it was going to be another dummy trying to say start Stewart and stuff...but the guy was low key...if that was a stupid post then I guess every f*cking thing we say should be censored

when as the head coach you have the chance to do something for the 1st time ever in NFL history.....

unless your jim caldwell...

Sorry, but word is (and I'm sure we'll hear more on it soon) that Stewart aggravated his eternally-troublesome Achilles. That is why Stewart was pulled from the game, and we aren't all stupid for believing so.

    • I hope not. 3rd-5th round QB's are historically awful. Most of the time that team is just drafting another QB in the first the following year. Look at the Saints, if they continue to suck this year they are just taking a QB. And if they do they just threw away a 2nd round pick that they just drafted. We did the same poo with Clausen, Greer, Pike, that guy we drafted a few years ago who is so irrelevant I forgot his name...  Just take a 1st round QB if Bryce isn't the answer and be prepared to live with it
    • This reminds me on Madden where you create an alternate uniform and the pre-recorded voice overs talk about how hideous your uniform looks. 🤣
    • There are people on this forum that just want to see a lot of passing yards....number go up. That's all it is, really. They are thirsting for a 350-400 yard game. The idea that Jameis Winston is going to come in and play like a star and lead us to wins is ludacris. He's the 3rd fuging string for a 2-5 team and has played horrible for years now. Sure, passing numbers will go up but you'll also get a lot of dumb plays, pick 6's, and incompletions en route to a frustrating bad offensive performance, just in a different way. I think these people are yearning for another Delhomme situation, and the odds of that happening are very very slim. It's way more likely Howell or Jameis comes in and looks like Jack Plummer or Andy Dalton did in the preseason. There just isn't that much good quarterbacking in this league right now. And if we draft another QB in the first round, there is a good chance they bust. It's not a guaranteed carrot. The reality is, as mediocre as Bryce has been, the risk of bringing someone else in in-season and releasing Bryce becuase you aren't happy with his current performance is staggeringly high. Don't want to re-up his contract and search for a solution in the offseason? Sure, I'm on board. Bryce hasn't been good enough to warrant a second contract. But It is very. very unlikely that bringing someone else in midseason is going to give this team more wins.
