Better than the score was the sideline scene that followed it. Jarrett turned into a politician, accepting a seemingly endless parade of handshakes and hugs from his teammates, who knew exactly what the precious score meant to him after three mostly frustrating seasons.

"It was the best feeling. We're a band of brothers here," Jarrett said. "We go through winning together, losing together, camp together. I think they knew how much it meant."

This was Jarrett's finest day as a professional. Even though he didn't start, he caught all five passes targeted to him, ringing up 68 yards in the process.

Sadly for Jarrett he isn't playing next week to show yesterday wasn't the exception rather than the rule.

Nice way of looking at it. I have noticed that Jarrett has caught everything that has been thrown at him but I dont see us keeping him. Remember Drew Carter? he put up a few 120+ yard games in his career and where is he now? not even starting for oakland.

Personally, I think Jarrett's failure to catch on has more to do with the person that was throwing him the ball for the majority of the past 3 years than him. I'd like to keep him another year to see what he can do with a Qb that isn't afraid to throw the ball to someone not named Smith or Moose.

Personally, I think his inability to play special teams probably means his NFL career is over. He may catch on as a #4 somewhere next season, but I doubt it.

Possibly. Does he cost much? He could put up a good 7 years if he shows he's up to the task.

I say we keep him and see what he can do in the preseason. I want to see f what he did yesterday was what he'll do with a competent QB behind the wheel, or he just lucked out.
