If that’s the *only* progress you’re seeing then that’s some selective vision. Neither you nor I have any idea how Bryce is going to turn out but I’m at least willing to give him some time.

At the rate he's "improving", he will be an average NFL QB in 2026. We got shutout after the first two drives against Miami, in his best game. He took what the defense gave him the first two drives and then when they adjusted, couldn't do anything. The only reason he's shown improvement is because he played so unconscionably bad the first couple of games. Even at his best, he's been a bottom 5 QB.

Tom Brady is the only outlier as an athletically limited QB who has succeeded in the NFL without top-tier talent around him. It has literally never happened in any other circumstance.

I will say it again. He's a game manager IF he really has turned the corner.

I have said you cant give up on him yet....BU if he is not showing progress next regardless of the rest of the roster next year and the Qb class in 25 looks rich then you definitely have a dilemma.

I think one thing the panthers have going for us is this.  Reich and co gets next season, if things are not substantially headed in the right direction then another full enema is expected.  And no new regime is coming in without being able to draft who they want.

All we can hope for is that T Brown unlocks bryce's potential and we clearly see he can be the guy for us.  I am skeptical and I am pretty confident he will never warrant what we gave up for him but the only hope is that he can become an plus .500 nfl qb

You don't think current Goff is a top 10 QB in the league right now?  He is in the top 5 in most statistics and has a NFL best record of 5-1.  Which 10 do you have above him?

I would say let his year play out and see how he follows it up because consistency at a high level is the elite bar for many, myself included.

He stated his ceiling feels like what Jared Goff is “right now” and stated we need him to become a top 10 elite QB. I’d say current Goff is an elite top 10 QB. Do you not agree?

There were panther fans who said we shouldn't take stroud because he had a jared goff ceiling and bryce was higher.

You’re just pushing your narrative dawg. There’s a reason you didn’t respond to me telling you specific instances of him making tight window throws and displaying his arm strength and accuracy. Doesn’t fit your game manager narrative. Go watch some film and try not to let your bias get in the way

Re Goff: It is his eighth season, his last 5 years W-L record is about a game or two over .500.

Re Goff: was WAY worse than Bryce his rookie year. Threw for 1k/5tds/7ints in 7 starts. Went 0-7.

Made the pro bowl the next year, took his team to a Super Bowl the next throwing for 4700 32tds 12 ints. Can’t just be putting players in a box 6 or 7 games into their career.

We're going to be a run first team with 3 receiving options better than any of the other players on past rookie 1k seasons. If you can't understand that, then it's a you problem, not a me problem. Arizona's previous basketball coach, Sean Miller, used to do something at the first team meeting of every season and I think it's soooooooooo applicable to this situation. He'd have every player right down how many minutes/points they expected to average that season and then he'd add them up.  It would show that if they all hit those numbers, we'd score like 125 points a game and need to be playing 7 guys at a time to get their minutes. That's pretty much how you guys are putting your T-Mac expectations out there, looking solely at the player and what you think he should be able to do, not how the offense will operate as a whole. Every yard one player gets is one less yard someone else can get.  It sounds like I just have more faith in Thielen, XL, and Coker this year than most everyone else.  But a big reason for that faith is because of T-Mac and how much he'll open things up for the rest of them and Bryce being the type of QB to take the open easy passes than force it to his #1. As I've said, if any one of the following happens... Thielen ends the season sub 700 yards, XL or Coker end up sub 500 yards... Then yes, I will then shift my expectations for T-Mac's rookie year to be at least 1,000 yard season. But since I have faith in those other 3 having solid seasons, it tempers my expectations yardage totals for T-Mac this year, and this year alone.  I've also clearly stated many times that I think he's going to reach 10 TDs. If T-Mac ends the season with 800 yards and 10 TDs, while Thielen gets 900-1,000 and XL/Coker each get around 600, I don't see any world where that is a failure for a rookie season for T-Mac. Because again, we're talking about expectations, not what is possible.  So given the other WR options, I can't EXPECT T-Mac to get to the 1k mark, which is a far cry from me saying I don't think he can get there. Do you really not see the difference there?
    • I don't recall anyone seeing this coming.  I mean, two seperate things for me.  I thought BB just might not work in college football because he is old grumpy man and college is about appealing to young kids.   So yeah, that could of gone great or horrible.  Coin flip.  This isn't that convo for me.  what we are witnessing right now play out.....this was never part of the disaster possibility/path discussed lol.  Really weird stuff.  Or maybe I missed the part where UNC hires a 20 year old "girlfriend" that apparently runs the Bill operation and before the season even starts is taking over more than just Bill but influence of the entire UNC operation.  That was her getting that official statement made today.  It was her sabotaging the Hard Knocks UNC show because she somehow wasn't the star.  Seems like elder abuse lol.  Only largely kidding.  You even got Charles Barkley saying he normally doesn't talk about personal lives of his friends but he might have to check in on Bill because this ain't normal stuff lol.  Anyway, it's entertaining.  Everything is a cartoon it seems these days.
    • I think its strange how you were claiming this guy was the second coming of Mike Evans and you can't even get behind 1k yards? I guess I have more faith in him than you
