No he just stated the obvious. Delhomme had a bad year and moore played better. There is nothing to read into that

A guy with some authority on the subject begs to differ.

Writer can use bells and whistles, but he can't state an opinion on anything unless its the official opinion of the coaching staff. No way this pro-Moore stuff sees the light of day if Delhomme is the starter going into next year.

As far as I can see, the only person who has suggested that Marty tells Mason what to write is Gman.

Listen up....Marty tells Charlie Dayton what's up. Tells him what the coaches want out there and don't want out there. This is so Charlie knows how to deal with all the media...national, regional, local, and inhouse. Charlie and David Monroe tell the writer where the potholes are and to avoid them. For Mason to even acknowledge that Delhomme struggled and Moore was great tells me that the coaches aren't protecting the starter status of Jake. If Jake is still the starter, they pull that story off the website ASAP. This doesn't mean Moore is the starter. It simply means Delhomme is not entrenched. He'll have to earn it back, if he's even on the team.

You're not telling us anything we dont know already. I NEVER said jake was entrenched as the starter. I said its his job to lose because of the money and loyalty tied to him. This article does not imply that they are leaning towards Matt Moore like the OP insists it does. They are simply giving him props for what he did. There is nothing more to read into it than that.

And you have suggested he doesn't care or isn't involved. Marty and John tell Charlie what they don't want out there, and then they let Charlie do his job. Mr. Scot is right...the fact that a pro-Moore story made it to the site implicitly suggests that it's no longer Jake's job, per se. He can win it back, but the baton is now in the hands of Moore. You can read between the lines here.

Give me one example of when Hurney told Dayton what to have written on panthers.com. The writer was simply giving moore props for what he did. I doubt hurney would stop this article from being written just to protect jake nor would he care. I seriously doubt you ever worked for the organization anyway.

WRONG! That is signs that they are willing to have a competion and that there wouldnt be any friction between the two. It doesnt mean they are leaning towards Moore at all. Like I said, Ill beleive it when I see it.
