Taylor Mays being compared to Thomas Davis

Recommended Posts

He is prob going to a reach because of Thomas davis to.Some GM will think they can make him the next TD.

He may very well be the next TD, I'm not so sure if he will be a reach if he is taken at the back end of the first. If someone drafts him in the top 15 as a LB project it will be a reach though, then again we did it with TD and it seemed to work out ok.

They have also put a couple of sick secondary players in the NFL to. Troy Polamalu' date=' Kevin Ellison looks extremely promising for the Chargers, Eric Wright who is very underrated in Cleveland started his college career at USC, Terell Thomas also looks to have a very promising career ahead of him. Actually USC just puts defensive players and QB's in the NFL period.[/quote']

I agree... and I would almost say that they can put just about anybody in the NFL.

While I agree they do have great talent in the NFL at every position they specialize in Defensive players QB's and Offensive Lineman (forgot the big uglies the first time around sorry guys!)

Hey! Lucky thing for that list is all the former Nfl players from USC like Colbert aren't on it.

Oh yea former NFL players, you mean like Willie McGinest, Keyshawn Johnson, Junior Seau, Marcus Allen, Lynn Swann, Ronnie Lott and Bruce Matthews just to name a few.....

Definitely wouldn't mind seeing him in a Panthers uniform. I think he'd fit well in our scheme needing fast, athletic players. Him + Beason + Davis would easily be the quickest LB core, and Beason/Davis are already proven studs. Mays would have the HUGE luxury of playing next to them too, they could teach him a lot. Especially Davis who made the same transition.

Don't count on him falling past the 1st round, though. I'll bet you guys anything that Al Davis will grab Mays early because of his combine stats.

Damn, how can people already have him replacing Diggs, when the kid has never played a down at LB? Personally, I would rather have another LB to replace Diggs, instead of another converted safety project who may or may not be able to play one of the LB positions 3-4 years from now.
