They’re both terrible products currently and have been for a while now.

The 12 team playoff starting next season should help a ton.

Nah, it will still be the same teams.

What they really need to do is significantly reduce the number of scholarships teams can give so teams like Alabama and Ohio State can't stock up.

The only thing I would change about the college game is getting rid of some of the bowl games. Every .500 school doesn't need to go to a bowl game.

It's so ridiculous. Being bowl eligible used to mean something. Now you have to be completely terrible not to go to a bowl so no one really cares outside of the playoffs. Draft prospects even sit out the NYE6 bowls. There should be maybe 12-15 bowl games tops. Legacy TV contracts are the only thing keeping all these bowls alive. Viewership ratings have to be terrible and most are attended at the level of a HS game.

If you're going to have a billion bowls at least get rid of conference time ins and make them regionally relevant. If you have say UNC and Tennessee playing in Charlotte it's going to be well attended. Have the same game in Phoenix and who's going?

This would help too but the portal is going to take care of some of that. You're not gonna have 4 and 5 star junior and senior third stringers. Those guys are gonna transfer and play somewhere.

    • The same folks crying about the OL right now were crying about it in 2023 too. We have tied up over 100 million dollars in two interior olinemen alone. We've invested multiple first and second round picks in the offense. We hired an offensive minded head coach. This is an offensive team. The offense needs to produce or people need to be replaced.
    • This is the same place that has ridiculed and blasted Caleb Williams at every opportunity he has his team sitting at 10-4 in the same NFC that the Panthers are competing in. And their division in the NFC North is as or more competitive as our division. Yet from the same people who have very high standards for Williams we get every excuse imaginable for the smallest starting QB in the league even when he and his team continue to disappoint when the pressure is on. You lot aren't any less inconsistent than anyone else.
    • The Panthers are 9th in cap spent on offense this year.  However next season is already a different story  The Panthers as it stands right now will be 18th in cap spent on offense and 8th in cap spent on defense  The Panthers are currently set to spend more on defense next year than they are on offense this season Guys like Jaycee and Moehrig cap numbers take a big jump. Wharton has a massive cap hit   Jaycee Moehrig and Wharton in 2025 The same 3 in 2026 So this same defense as it stands right now will cost more in 2026 than this offense does right now… Got anything else you want to try?
