He has to know everyone is simply laughing at him at this point and he is just trolling to troll.  Nobody in their goddamn right mind would still be defending both reich and fitt at this point but yet here he sits.

Or maybe I know this is all you can do because you don't have the ability to debate on a deeper level 😄

It’s like when The Beach Boys record label heavily proclaimed that “Brian Wilson is a genius” to everyone and that pressure ended up breaking him, even though he was genuinely a genius.

Bryce young does not appear to be a football savant. He might not last three years in the league at this rate

Back on topic 🙂

I dont doubt Young's football intelligence, but it's not just knowing what to do. You have to be able to process and make extremely quick decisions and adapt to NFL conditions.

Plenty of guys that are football smart can fully break down a play, but not in real time.

Fitterer is the Matt Rhule of GMs.  And Frank is an old and out dated coach.  2 things are true.

Fitterer also built the offensive line that carried the team in the second half of last season and nearly got them into the playoffs.

your main point is that he didn’t magically switch the entire offense to what would suit Bryce young the best.

we know that it was teppers call to make the bears trade. We know that tepper has convinced himself they don’t need wide receivers. Is that really fitterers fault? Should he have resigned in protest?

And the offensive line….what should he have cut them all/traded everyone for different players? Like what is a gm really supposed to do there when (someone) says they’re going to play a completely different style than the personnel are chosen for?

Fitterer did what he could. He drafted the best WR they had other board. I guess he didn’t draft tank dell but neither did 31 other teams for two rounds. He signed thielen who’s been one of the most productive players in the league. Reich is the one who wanted sanders for whatever this offense is.

the more things happen the more it seems like everything was thrown together by some message board idiot who thinks he’s smarter than everyone who simulated the whole season on madden. “Yeah let’s draft this point guard qb with the high s2 score and just run a similar offense to what he did at Alabama and also I’m making this decision a month before the draft.” So Tepper.

reich and fitterer have to go, and the burns trade looks worse every week, but fit isn’t the biggest problem here.

And there’s no offensive set up that’s going to allow Bryce to succeed. Bryce cannot complete the route tree at the nfl level. that is not going to change.

Oh I absolutely doubt his football IQ. He’s shown nothing at the nfl level that indicates he’s in control of the offense. Or that he knows where the defense will be. He’s throwing bad picks, and has had multiple picks over the past three weeks on terrible decisions. He threw one pass into quad coverage in Chicago under no pressure.

dude is a complete fraud.

I don't doubt that he can figure those things out if he's watching tape or breaking down a film session.

That's not his job, though. His job is to do it in real time on the field with the defense bearing down on him.

And this is where I have questions...

But to be fair, Greg Olsen is right. It's be pretty hard for anyone to operate under the conditions hea facing.

Sure but any free agent qb can come in to this situation and struggle and show absolutely nothing.

the only reason people are hanging on to optimism is because of what was given up for him.

if this was Andy dalton doing it no one would be calling for patience. The number 1 overall pick, what was given up for him aside, should at least show SOMETHING to be hopeful for. Bryce hasn’t done that.

I think it's fair to give a rookie time to adjust, even a #1 pick.

Granted though, he still may not be up to it. I'm not ready to say that yet. I know some are. Just not me.

Wanna go back to something you mentioned previously though, because I've also said that dinner sounded like a focal point of the draft process.

Tepper was absolutely awestruck by Young's answer to a question about a particular play. I know he raved about the level of detail and said specifically "who does that?"

Couldn't help thinking that the coaches and maybe even the personnel guys had probably seen that level of detail before, but Tepper...not so much.

If that led Tepper to be over impressed, welllll...

He wasn’t expected to magically transform the roster overnight ….but with the hiring of Frank and move to acquire Bryce….he needed to start making real moves to cater toward the development of Bryce and suiting the new scheme and identity.

His FA moves were horrible pending what Carolina’s new direction was.  And his one big offensive draft pick IMO wasn’t ideal either for the new offense and Bryce.  Mingo isn’t the route runner or dependable enough to be on the field and such a key part yet….but we got

Miles Sanders was essentially an add for an offense we weren’t running. Chark and Theilen too.

I really think Tepper has employed a cast of parts that don’t fit and forced them together.    Then the icing on the cake was giving his new HC a QB he didn’t really want.  And I think a lot of that is Fitt too.  Dave isn’t creating all this on his own.  I think it’s the GM selling him on some of these ideas.

I don’t think Frank and Fitt work.  I don’t think Frank and Bryce work.   I frankly don’t think Frank probably even wanted Caldwell and Capers.  That seems like a Dave trying over correct.  He had no experience and then wanted an abundance.  Even the the Brown and Evero hires don’t fit the mold of a retread like Frank.  They generally go to the pool and tree/family of guys they know and have a history with for the common vision aspect.  Then the Rhule holdovers on staff. I think Dave Tepper just took a bunch of random parts and names and mashed them together…..and that’s at least how we look as well.

He didn't want two guys he had history with? 😕

Capers is here as much because of Evero as Reich. He held the same role he has here in Denver the year before. Reich gave Evero a lot of leeway on the defensive staff, but why would he object to a guy he knew well?

And Caldwell? He's the guy who helped Reich get going on the path to where he is now back when he started in Indy. Reich considers him a friend and a mentor. You think he wouldn't want that guy?

yes, I think Tepper insisted Frank have old heads to oversee all the random parts Tepper/Fitt mashed together.   It jives with Teppers 180 vision post Rhule.  Not wanting, as in not Frank's idea/vision but Teppers.

Tepper and your boy Fitt....orchestrated a complete poo show.  Nothing meshes. Nothing fits.   That's where our problems start at this point.  Tepper.  Then Fitt.  Then Frank.
