He also pointed out that your argument is ridiculous.

Mind you, he's not the only one besides me to do that 😄

The actual argument we are having is Fitt is a horrible GM and should be fired.  The board universally agrees with that. It’s basically you that doesn’t.  #winninginyoureyes

for the love of god explain what you mean by Fitterer did not put Young and Reich in a position to succeed

i am literally losing my mind about this

Bryce Young was clearly coming into the season going to be a shotgun heavy, pass heavy and a certified small ball QB.  That was talked about coming in.  Playing 20 yards of the field.  That’s it.  Everyone knows it.  That’s what we do.  Every opponent knows this as well.

that is exactly what he has been.  That’s the setup.  That’s the design of what Frank is calling and has been out of the gate.

he doesn’t have small ball weapons.  Zero.  That’s being setup to fail.  A small ball offense with no working parts at the skill position.  Then obviously there are tons of other reasons why we suck added on top.  Frank is bad and can’t adjust to not having the parts.  OL is a joke in this scheme.

Sanders and Hubbard aren’t small ball RBs.  They are early down runners.  They suck in pass pro.  There routes suck.  It’s often highlighted on QB School.  Theilen isn’t a slot small ball WR.  Chark isn’t a small ball WR.  Mingo might could be in theory but was raw coming in and frankly shouldn’t be on the field right now with that horrific route running.  It’s why when you watch QB School…..he destroys everyone running routes. They can’t get to where they need to be in time.  Everyone is too slow in the routes and running them poorly.  Theilen is the prettiest ugly chick and we overplay him as result.  He can’t get to his spot quick enough.  When he gets there he is smothered and if by some miracle he gets open he has zero YAC ability.  And QB School isn’t making these points and now being echoed….all that was called before week 1 kicked off.

The reason some linemen suck at zone schemes is they aren't athletic enough, or strong enough, or technically sound enough to effectively create space with it. Fail to gain ground, fail to create lanes, fail to run the ball.

Our OL can execute down, down, kickout because it's simpler. It's momentum, it's one directional flow and then jamming with the pull. Same with iso and off tackle, you get a double and a lead up. It's simple.

Zone requires dipping and ripping, trading off and climbing, fast feet, violent hands and balance. Something our OL does not have, all of which is evidenced in pass protection.

Can they execute the concept? Occasionally I'm sure. But when teams KNOW you're running zone, it's easy to defend. Like dumb easy. Especially given we have no deep passing game, so we're facing 8 man boxes for 6 man, at best, zone schemes. Hell of a lot easier if we could do some zone against some nickel sets with two deep safeties but we're not going to get that.

Nah. Addressed elsewhere that I know that's what you (and others) want to see...

But that doesn't make things like...

- The suggestion that Fitterer is at fault for the coaching scheme

- The idea that Reich didn't want two good friends on the staff till Tepper forced him

- Your inability to know what constitutes a Frank Reich offense

- Your suggestion that you posted the scheme analysis before I did...while at the same time arguing against it

...look any less stupid.

But hey, you said you're just doing this for fun, not to win, right? (despite the fact you keep trying)

Wow 😄

What the fug is a “small ball x”

you are making up terms

how can you say thielen isn’t doing well in this offense? Hes one of the most productive wide receivers in the league

Just admit you were on shrooms it’s fine I do them too

Small ball isn’t a made up concept lol.  Dink and dunk.  It’s has lots of names. We play and a shrunken version of football.   Can it be done? Sure.  It’s can even be done at an elite level. Tom Brady spent many years playing elite small ball.   Sometimes behind a bad OL.  It’s why his top receivers several years in a row were a real slot WR and a pass catching RB.  But Edelman, White, etc actually fit that game.  Leading 2 receivers back to back years for him.

Thielen is just force feed.  It’s why the 2nd most productive WR on Sundays is now consistently only generating about 10 yards of offense.   It’s why we can barely score 10 points and ONE of the reasons we have the worst pass attack in the NFL.

He has stats that are a byproduct of their entire pass game being forced to him.  He doesn’t actually have the skill set needed to be what he is asked to be on this offense.   He is slow.  He can’t get his routes run fast enough.  That kills plays.  When he does get his hands on the ball he has zero separation and when a miracle happens and he does he has no YAC ability.

Adam Theilen doesn’t have the skill set needed for the role . Does he catch balls and is he the best WR we have on the team? Yes.

Simple question:  Do you think Fitt has done a good job?

Missed this, you intentionally recreate what others suggest…

it is Fitterers fault for not matching the talent to the scheme that would be run. That’s his job.  Talent doesn’t  match.  Specifically all his additions.

the suggestion is Tepper dictated what the staff would look like and it wasn’t  Frank’s vision to do whatever he wanted.  Which included having Frank bring in dinosaurs to oversee everything after the Rhule debacle where they didn’t even know how to run a practice.  Everything has been an overcorrection by Tepper

lmao, now you concede it’s Frank’s O at the end of the day.  The one he came here to call and run and is.

@AU-panther asked you a simple question.  Feel free to respond to him.  You said you addressed it and it appears everyone missed that.

as recently as nov 10th mrscot was still balls deep in support of both reich and fitt, I think since then he knows he is in over his head but still plays word salad in talking about them

Both Fiz and I have explained how ridiculous this view of yours is, but I get that you'll keep going with it.

Also see you're back to your usual tactic accusing others of what you yourself do.

Incomplete.

As has been mentioned previously, it's not really fair to blame him for the Rhule era.

Specifics at the current reset: The line build was great. The way it's being used right now, not so much.

Skill positions an offenser lacking, but you can't do a full rebuild in a single offseason.

Defense looks good, but currently decimated by Injuries.

So bottom line, I'd need to see another offseason with Reich to have a more informed opinion, but I don't know if we're going to get that or not.

    • If you are an athlete or former athlete (myself?  Cornhole 2021-present; Disc Golf 2013-got a mega blister and had to retire; speed walking--every black Friday at Walmart 2003-2009) you know what it is to lose confidence.  Self-inflicted or not (in my view, a lot of 2023 was coaching and a lot of 2024 was confidence), he has confidence now. How fragile is it?  I think the light is on, the game slowed down, and he is ready to do his thing.  He seems to be "mobile in the pocket" instead of "running scared."   Last year, there were times when AT was out, Johnson gone, and all he really had was XL and Coker--a raw rookie with upside and an UDFA rookie.  TE was rarely a viable option. It reminded me of Benjamin and Funchess.   Moore had to step up.  This season, Bryce has weapons.  I expect XL to improve.  I expect TMac to help tremendously, and I think Coker will be solid.  Renfrow?  Horn?  bonuses.
    • His points are valid.  However, it seems a bit based on past performance and fails to take into consideration trends and conditions that might suggest growth in 2025.   For one, he breaks the team down by position and ranks them separately.  I guess that is a fair way to do it, but they are dependent upon each other. Last year, our DL sucked.  That impacts the rest of the defense.  With no internal pressure, the QBs simply step up to avoid the Edge rush.  I would have suggested that the internal DL is now featuring pass rushers and large people who can collapse the pocket.  Secondly, the LBs were not protected very well in 2024.  It is hard to see the holes and step up when a guard is in your earhole a second after the snap.  Finally, the defensive backs will be forced to make fewer tackles and they will be better in pass protection with a new and improved DL.    Canales made an interesting comment the other day, and I (from the outside looking in) feel the same way:  (paraphrasing) "I have never seen a better group of rookies."   I think the biggest concern is the learning curve.  How long before these rookies are ready?   I am bullish on this team.  I think they win 3 of their first 4 and get confident.  The get the fans behind them.  From there, they win 6 of the remaining 13.  If they stay injury free, they have an outside shot at the NFC south.
    • Biiiiiig eyeroll on this.  First, Look at historical stats of the most recent historical great DBs.  I plucked 3, Revis, Sherman, and Norman (cuzz he was our guy).  Combined post age 30, there are TWO pro bowls between those 3 and wanna get this...ZERO seasons with 16 games started.  ALL missed time.  It is RARE that Corners survive that long in the NFL and its about time we started recognizing this fact.  Jaycee is a good bet because it hasnt been anything seriously devastating injury wise, and with his sample size he could and should be an incredible piece for the panthers through age 30. Jaire kinda flops on the other side, hes 28...so hes under 30, but he wants his payday before it comes up, hes also been injury prone lately.  Bulk of the contract will be on opposite side of 30.  Will both of these guys help us be better in 2026?  SURE!  No doubt, but the question is, will these guys help us past 2026...not sure. The investment isnt worth the risk, nor would the ROI be anywhere close to worth it.  Neither guy is moving us from a 6-8 win team to a 8-10 team, period. My point is we're in this state a 6-8 win team IMO and he projects us as  a 4-6 win team.  EVEN if we think Jaire or Ramsey will make us a 6-8 win team, it in NO WAY is worth the money or capital to move that much just to suck kinda less.
