Hindsight being 20/20 and all that if we keep CMC, include Burns instead of Moore in the trade to Chicago for #1, then draft Stroud at #1 everything is so much different.

I still have hope for Bryce... He wasn't my choice in the draft. I wanted to sit at 9 and take AR 15 if he fell or maybe make a more modest trade up that that didn't sell the farm, but we got who we got. I definitely feel the direction you're going in with this tho.

I honestly don't. I'd feel differently if I was seeing signs of NFL talent but when everyone who takes the field at QB in the NFL whether it's UDFAs, backups, or 3rd stringers look like they have a higher level of raw talent than our #1 overall pick that pill is bitter as fug.

Rookie mistakes I can deal with. They happen. But you want to see flashes of that high level talent. You can't develop that.

You mean you don't want a noodle armed qb with the build of a 16 year old sophomore that can't hold on to the ball while being hit behind our porous oline?

And there is absolutely no chance that ALL of those back ups and 3rd stringers you talk about are in better situations with a better functioning coaching staff than Bryce currently? Bryce would look just as horrible if he were on any other team than this one? Idk man. This franchise has been trash for awhile now. Look at Baker Mayfield. He was trash and did not look like an NFL QB when he was with us last year and some how he's having a pro bowl year with the fuging Bucs of all teams. Even when he went to the Rams last year he had some solid performances. I really thing this organization is a gigantic poo show and Bryce isnt good enough to overcome that

Talent still shows. That's the part y'all don't want to acknowledge. Even in a complete poo show you can recognize talent. Where's the flashes of talent? Not stats, not wins, just those plays that make you say, "Yeah, this guy shows something. I can see him being that dude in the right situation." In 13 starts how many plays has he honestly made that you wouldn't expect pretty much any roster caliber NFL QB to be able to make?

That's my concern. I'm not seeing flashes of the talent that can lift a team. Bryce looks like the type of guy who is never going to add digits to the win column. He'll get you as far as the team around him can carry him. Other teams call those types of guys replacement level backups.

Getting fuged over in the owner sweepstakes.

#1 grievance in franchise history at the moment.

It wasn't even a sweepstakes. The NFL was gonna force JR to sell to David Tepper, period. He was next man up for the good old boy's club. Sucks they didn't force Snyder out quicker. Lord knows there was WAY more dirt on Snyder than there was on JR and they didn't move on him until they found out he was withholding a few bucks from the pot.

    • I’m not mad at Moehrig.  He’s great at what he does.  And to be honest, a lot of my favorite safeties in our history were box-first type guys - Maxie, Minter, Mike Mitchell, Chris Harris…  they’re first and foremost objective was to put people on their backs and coverage was secondary.  There is a place for that.  There is a definite need for that.  Physical guys that set the tone.  So cool, we have that in Moerhig. But what we have lacked for the vast majority of our existence is a true free safety that cleans everything up on the back end.  Sometimes they come in the form of a JOAT, like Peppers.  I think he would be a fantastic compliment to Moehrig’s strengths and weaknesses.  If we don’t go after him, I certainly hope Ransom is given the chance to grow and develop in real-time with real game reps, because what he did in preseason was very encouraging to see.  I hope he can grow into that roaming center fielder with a little bit of an edge to him as an enforcer as well.  He has the tools.  In the meantime, adding Peppers would only help.
    • Option 1 is most likely. Even if he kills it this year, it wouldn't be prudent to rush an extension for one good season. If you have to pay him more because you waited another year, then he earned it. And that's OK. Adjust accordingly.
    • Cam had the advantage of having a very strong supporting cast his first 2 seasons. Things definitely worsened later on. But those first couple of years can kill a QB. Some never truly recover. If they do recover it takes years, and usually with another team. Trying to learn to be an NFL QB with TEs and WRs that are trying to learn too is a recipe for disaster. Imagine if Cam's rookie season was that 2014 offensive squad. Changes everything! I said it when they moved up in 2023. This team wasn't ready for a rookie QB yet. Anyone that thinks Stroud would have been a lot better is delusional. The correct formula is to build a strong team and then you go get your rookie QB. Not the other way around. BY is going into his third season and we're still trying to put a respectable group of WRs and TEs around him. I think they have the right personnel now. Unfortunately they haven't developed into actual NFL players yet.  This season we should expect consistency and aggressiveness from BY. Mostly for his development but also to DEVELOP his young cast.
