Do you know what a podcast is?

Bro it's 2024. Damn near everyone in sports has a podcast. This is the new media. Why do you think the media discuss these players and what they say on their podcast?

Having a podcast does not make you a member of the media. he is a celebrity with a podcast. Like Joe Rogan.

Legitimate, respected members of the media include but are not limited to Schefter, Woj, Keith Olbermann, Jane Pauly, colbert, Anderson Cooper, Jon Stewart etc

there’s a big difference

Most of his topics are about football.

He's a media member bro. ESPN hired Pat McAfee because of his podcast success. Is he not a media member either?

Podcast is media. You don't seem very knowledgeable on this situation.

I have a coworker who has a podcast about a very famous show that aired in the 80s. I guess he is Morley Safer now.

So Shannon Sharpe is not a media member despite being on a Nat'l show with other media members?

I think you ignoring the fact there is a new media in today's world. This is no longer 1980's. People who talk sports on a Nat'l level are considered the new media.

Pat McAfee was never a reporter. The guy started his own podcast and got hired because of his ability to talk about sports. He's a media member.

    • Just going off the draft sims and he's always sitting around 20 lol. First year in a while where we haven't been thinking about the draft already in late October so haven't really looked into the top 15-20 picks yet. Also the qb class is super weak so he probably will sneak up into 10-15
    • I fully expect them to pick up his 5th year , and they're waiting for him to put a full excellent consistent season of QB play in year 4 or 5. If that don't happen,  they'll eventually cut ties.  Here's to hoping he just goes on a team in 2026. The worst thing he could do is continue to see-saw us to around .500 records because it might be impossible to replace him at that point unless youre willing to do the veteran qb carousel poo we did from 2019 to 2023.
    • What do you think of Bryce Youngs career thus far? Are you excited about his progress or is it not enough for you? I included a poll of ranking his performance through 3 years thus far.  I personally think he's made some decent progress. Has had some high moments (last half of 2024, Rams game, ATL game in 2025)  but in my mind, those are still outweighed by the many more lowlights thus far (ex turnovers, missed throws, poor decisions)  It's a very mixed bag for me. He's done enough to get a 5th year option but by no means should we lock him in with a 50+ mil a year multi year deal. I want to see him play consistently well for a full year before that happens (yes, I'm still saying that going into year 4. That might be telling).  Just sucks when you see CJ Stroud, Jayden Daniel's, Caleb Williams almost immediately lighting poo up with their arm talent. Maybe Bryce is just an ultra slow burn. I don't know what to think anymore. Guess we're gonna be stuck with him for a whilr unless we end up being bad enough to earn a high pick next year. I doubted it lol. Overall Stats for his career:       ● 14 W - 30L (regular season)       ● 0-1 playoffs record        ● 61.4% completion, 8291 passing yards, 49 TDs, 30 INTs  Year 1:       ● 2 wins, 14 losses      ● 60% completion rate, 2877 passing yards, 11 TD to 10 INTs, 5.5 yards per attempted pass Year 2:        ● 4 wins , 8 losses        ● 60.9% completion rate,  2403 passing yards, 15 TD, 9 INTs,  6.3 yards per attempted pass  Year 3:        ● 8 Wins, 8 Losses         ● 63.6% competition rate, 3011 passing yards, 23 TDs to 11 INTs  Playoffs         ● 1 game in year 3 ( 0 - 1 in playoffs)         ● 21/40 (52.5% completion rate), 264 passing yards, 1 TD, 1 INT.
