I was mixed about Muhsin, but this makes me thing we should bring him back...

To me it just depends on who we can get in the draft and free agency. I'd rather bring in several good young WRs to develop around Moore and give those guys the snaps. My ideal depth chart would look something like...

Smitty

Breaston

L.Moore

Tate/Shipley/Gilyard

K.Moore

And possibly fit in an extra roster spot if you can get a guy like Ford or Cooper in the later rounds.

Moose would be a great third receiver. They guy nearly had 1,000 yards in 2008 -- and I think it's a little unfair to judge any of our receivers for last year due to the poor quarterback play (prior to Moore starting, of course), not to mention the countless deep routes we designed for our oldest and probably slowest receiver. It certainly wasn't Smith's best year, either.

Moose is one of those guys that is worth keeping around for what he can teach the young guys, and for what he brings to the lockerroom. But the guy is no slouch -- he's still a great possession receiver and one of the best blocking receivers in the league. Most teams would be lucky to have Moose as a third receiver.

the url link says " stats don't lie" but they are misleading- Boldin- Fitz and Breaston catch ALOT of short and underneath stuff. Besides the % has a lot to do with the QBs accuracy as well and Warner is/was very accurate on short/ slants and the like - I'd like to see welker's stats in that category

Did you even read the whole article? "Poor passes were taken out of the equation to show only the hands of the receiver". Pay attention please.

The stats they cite has nothing to do with the QB besides the amount of receptions. It is comparing receptions to drops.

Alot of people are thinking Moose won't be here this season, and I don't know why. Ok yea we do need another speedy fast young wr that can stretch the field, but we dam well wouldn't put him at number 2 when you already have smith out there. Smith and Moose opposite each other = top 3 recieving duo in the league. Jarret has been progresssing slowly and maybe this year he realizes that he needs to step it up big and be the man, pushing Moose outta the way towards the end of the year. I was hoping to see Kenny Moore out there more or maybe Panthers can bring back Ryne Robinson since he's finally healthy again.

    • The term you're looking for is "malinger(ed)", and he didn't.  I'm not sure why Panthers fans act like jaded ex girlfriends.  The dude is clearly injury prone as his time in San Fransico also proves. It's not like he got to San Fran and stopped having problems.
    • My long and rambling post:   The guy is all heart, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he came back even better next year. He’s exactly the guy you lock up. The money won’t ever change the way he plays.  It was a big fumble, but what 1,000 yard back fumbles once in an entire season?  Pride. This team is FINALLY seeing guys who obviously take the game very seriously. Hunt, Chuba, Thielen, Brown, Horn (CB), Coker, Bryce (IMHO). Bye bye, Spider-Man. I don’t see these dudes being OK with teammates half-assing practice or in games. I can see Brown and Horn coming over to talk to somebody.  Good team? Ummm, maybe, but will still likely lose more close games than they win unless this last draft turns in to LOB part 2. That’s a stretch.  Pretty good/decent team. Yes. They finished the season as a pretty good team. I know I sound like a broken record harping back to it, but going in to ATL and putting a 40 burger on them en route to an OT win. A bad Panthers team would have had their brakes beaten off. We’ve seen it.  Rose colored glasses on and bonging a 40 of hopium: There are watershed moments that occur that change the course of franchises, both good and bad. If Fox doesn’t pull Rodney at halftime, the epic journey that was 2003 never happens. On the negative side, Cam taking that one hit from Watt was the end of any and all Panthers relevancy and we’ve been the biggest losers in all of pro sports as a result. Watershed moments. LOB draft. Vinny goes down and the goat is born.  Will the ATL game be the spark that this franchise has desperately needed? Could it be that they hit the mega million jackpot with Princley and Scourton as eat QBs for breakfast? Sure would be nice having 2 all-pro edge guys on the cheap for the next 4 years.  A lot of unknowns, but at least it actually feels  fun again.
    • Ok LT and Petersen are a cut above everyone else to me cmc and Faulk are interchangeable on this list.  though Faulk was better career wise
