Shame too. Had hope for AEW

I’m glad you got that reference.  They have become “spot” porn where it’s not about wrestling or even the story  but dangerous spots that are going to leave legit guys like Darby Allen crippled in a few years.  Also, way too much blood.

sorry for the wrestling rant….

It's like they watched what Vince did the last decade, realized the only real spots they did were the setup and the finish, and decided "hey, let's do the opposite, have no story and no real match, just dudes hitting spots for 7 minutes until the fans tell us they're bored, last spot before boos get too loud wins". Lol

I saw Edge powerbomb some guy through a flaming table and I think the only part of his body to touch the table was the heels of his boots. It was BAD

That was rough. Promo work is getting worse too. There's too much leaning into the fourth wall now. They acknowledge that we know it's a work. Everything becomes hollow.

I don't even watch AEW but I think they are seriously missing out on a perfect opportunity and storyline.

Basically, Orange Cassidy wins the big championship and Darby Allin takes major offense to how much Cassidy seems to not care about it.

Cassidy vs Allin, DO IT!!!

    • At this point, I think Chubba is the odd man out. I hate that, but I think Dowdle gives us more production and big play ability.  But there is still a lot of football to play.  I think it depends on how much Dowdle will want too.
    • I’ve been anti-trade when it comes to Melo, but the way this season has started, it may be time.  I love his game and he’s a cool dude, but I’m starting to think, if he’s your best player, you’re never going to win anything of significance.  Too many brain farts, too many injuries, and ultimately for as fun and entertaining as he is to watch - his game is indeed a thing of beauty - it just doesn’t translate to wins.  And that’s IF he even plays.  I think it’s time to cash out and maximize the return.  I love Melo, but I think it’s pretty clear what the ceiling is for a team where he is the best player.
    • Every NFL team, college program, hell even HS has numerous "what ifs" that got derailed by injury. It's a brutal sport and half the battle is just getting lucky enough to stay healthy. Doesn't matter how durable you are and how well you take care of your body everyone is one weird hit or awkward twist away from a career derailing injury.
