Harris needs to shut the hell up

Sad because a lot of his friends are getting released? I think it's understandable, honestly.

Of course it is. No one's bemoaning Harris for having feelings.

I just think it's unwise for him to be so public with them.

There's a fine line between Chris Harris questioning some of the moves made by the front office and Terrell Owens opening his mouth and saying something dumb every chance he gets.

I think I speak for everyone in saying we don't mind him speaking his mind as long as he's not out of line, but we also realise that the organization doesn't take too kindly to players saying anything negative about the team. Therefore we think it's wise for Chris Harris to stay off Tweeter for a while.

This is the exact reasong that the Panthers strategy is risky.

It is not based on the talent on the field. The guys replacing the people cut are younger, more athletic, and hungrier.

The bigger risk lies in the departure of veteran leadership and what this does to the locker room.

  • 1 month later...

Gantt just said that Harris' comments last month had no effect on this decision. Of course only about half you will believe that comment.

I agree that it probably had no effect on why he was traded, but lets not start the "Gantt said it so it must be true!!!11".

Gantt spouts what the Panthers FO wants people to hear, so he can get tid-bits of insider info and seem like a Panther info-god.

Him saying something like this is about as credible as Fox saying something like this (aka, its PR bullsh!t).

    • Don't have to be miss cleo. His weakness are length, athleticism, creating his own shot, defense, finishing at the rim,  Strengths - shooting and IQ.   Likely won't work as non athletic shooters don't typically work.

    • I live in Indiana and took a trip that weekend to watch my two friend's teams play (Chiefs and Vikings) IN Minnesota when they were playing at a college field, I think TCF? Anyways, our plan was to watch the game (noon game) then do some shopping at the Mall of America, I wasn't planning on watching the Panthers play Seattle since I was out sight seeing and walking around after the noon game had ended. By the time we were walking back into the Mall the Panthers were down by 2 scores in the 4th or going into the 4th and we were all thirsty from walking around for 2.5 hours after the Vikings game so we decided to postpone shopping until after we ate. We found this nice little sports bar inside the mall that had the game on. Man, I'm so glad we skipped shopping because that was probably the most excited I've been in some time for a win. Beating Seattle in 2015 felt like the "monkey off the back" sort of feeling and I knew we had finally arrived as a team. The entire bar erupted when Cam hit Olsen for that walk off TD. Literally one of the greatest moments of my life. My friend wasn't so happy though lol, by the time the Panthers game ended ALL of the stores inside the mall had closed and he wasn't able to get any souvenirs. It was his first time watching a Vikings game live and making a trip like that so he was legit upset lol. I on the other hand couldn't have been happier.
