So Peppers...

I am not looking forward to Chicago coming to town. Which is usually sad cus I love when we play the bears, always a good defensive game.

But now that Pep is gonna be there, I have this slight feeling hes gonna tear us apart. Not to say we won't stop him more then a few times but I still see him coming in and destroying us.

We know he lacks the motivation every Sunday but when he turns it on he turns it on. And with the response he's gotten from us, I have no doubt hes going to turn it on.

I'm scared :(

I'm sure we will control him. Fox & Meek will do the same thing any Panthers fan would. Double team him, and add or subtract more help as needed.

After watching Pep for years, if you contain him with double/triple teams for the first half, he kinda just dissappears.

I'm definitely looking forward to this game, and will be at BOA stadium to watch it. Sure the Bears D-Line is going to be nice, but Carolina's O-Line is one of the best in the NFL too.

SO I don't think he will dominate us, hell no. Matt M. is a little quicker on his feet than ol' Delhomme. lol

And last I checked the Bears offense is one of the worst in the NFL, with Cutler throwing more interceptions than Delhommo last year! :)

..... And Lets see how the Bears or peppers stops Smash and Dash.... it won't happen.

Did Jared Allen tear Matt moore up?? he got him one time. Last time I checked, Allen was better than Peppers

This.....

ya but then you can say joey porter had 8 tackles and 2 huge sacks against you guys and imo peppers is better than porter.

Really yea Porter is better then Peppers. As talented NO but a better player he is.

i no it has been said already but if you think that Peppers is gunna be fired up for this game then how fired up do u think the captain of our line jordan gross who saw him in pratice everyday for the past 6 years and or otah who prob has seen him a few times and wants to prove himself still.

crystal ball says: peppers gets worked by our line (easily best in the nfl)

    • I do think the rating is fair given how this unit hasn’t proven it with production. I understand you have to rank off production, not potential. However, our unit is also in a position to make this rating look foolish a year from now. We have 4 guys in the WR/TE room who all could legitimately take the next step this year, and catapult our rank. A guy under a lot of people’s radar after we took Tet, Jalen Coker. Mark my words, he will become the star of this room, and be the heir to Thielen.
    • Exactly. You’d think 2-7 wins a year (in a 17 game season no less) since 2017 is going to keep us bottom tier. Every year we say the same poo like we haven’t been a bad team the past 7 years. Until we prove we aren’t a bottom dweller, that’s where we’ll stay ranked. God forbid we have OL injuries like 2016.
    • What I love and hate about this team is it’s more filled with potential breakout players than ever before. JT, XL, Coker, Smith-Wade, Ikem, Trevin… and even Bryce are all guys I could legitimately see taking the next step. But the problem with having so many of those guys is that team success somewhat relies on them taking that step, and some are bound not to. That being said, I’m cautiously optimistic given our softer schedule, the way the offense clicked late last year, and the direction we finally have at GM, coach, and QB. Could see us as a sneaky playoff team.
