Colt McCoy could be available?

won't suprise me if they trade next yr's first round pick to get The Golden Calf of Bristol, I think they want him. First team to show the most formal interest in him. Unless they are hoping he falls to 3rd round and plan?

Not uncommon for them to show interest in a player and never think of drafting him.

VERY uncommon for them to show interest in a player AND draft him.

McCoy getting hurt so easy in bowl game will probably scare alot of teams and make him slide. He will take alot harder hits in NFL than that. Can't have a qb made of glass, plus he could have some sort of nerve condition or was just real unlucky and got hit at exactly wrong spot?

but, The Golden Calf of Bristol is the type of personality they love(see Jake)

and business wise would generate Jersey sales and lots of national and local media attention. He would be a grand slam if he ever became starter material.

I could see Richardson and fox taking him.

With our current picks, I'll be pissed if we take anything other than WR with our first pick.

I would rather have them pick the best player available for three positions, DE, WR and DT. Personally I feel that WR and DE are about equal in need but if the best player is a DT when we pick they should take him.

This jack arse's mock is a joke. I would take Brandon Lefell, Rashad Jones, Damian Williams, Duenta Williams, Mardy Gilyard, Corey Wooton, Tyson ALualua (he has Ty as a 4th rounder) and about a dozen other guys he has us passing on over a glass, undersized, system QB that does not even have the athleticism of fellow LongHorn QB done OK Vince Young. Really this is one of the worst mocks i have ever seen.

At this point a first is way too high for him... he's currently grading out in the late second to third round... obviously that will likely change after his workouts... the current trends have his stock falling quickly though... so it wouldnt be inconceivable for him to drop clear to the fourth before a team takes a flier on him...

First of all, how did we show interest in The Golden Calf of Bristol? Show me a link that says that. If I remember correctly Panthers just had a meeting with him(as did every other team) at the senior bowl.. they had a meeting with TONS of players, that doesn't mean we're interested. They're just doing their job and taking notes for the draft board, jeez..

Second: Colt McCoy will likely not be available by the time our 2nd round pick comes around, and even if he is we have bigger needs. He is not worth our 2nd round pick.

We need WR & D-line. Those are our biggest and most glaring needs. If we somehow trade Marshall, then add corner to that list.

They have interviewed The Golden Calf of Bristol. It's been reported.

In the past, they also interviewed LenDale White and took Darnell Bing out to dinner. Honestly, the only guy I can think of off the top of my head that we "heavily scouted" and actually wound up taking was Eric Shelton.

    • Carolina Way is gone, it went out the window with the Belichick hiring. They'll hire the best coach they can, ignoring everything else if possible.    Athletic reports that the school's top two targets are Tommy Lloyd and Billy Donovan. They don't care the buyout for a coach either, they and the boosters are willing to spend and will be going outside of the coaching family tree 100%.
    • I don't think it's a homer though when I really feel this team can beat anyone.  The points that can be scored in bunches when the big three are on has high potential.  Moose has effort for days and IMO is the heart of the team.  And didn't see Miles becoming the team "vet" in the starting lineup just roleplaying lol.   We have to limit the turnovers though (Brandon Miller I'm looking at you bud, you are a bad ball handler) and some little things.   Colby off the bench is a cheat code and him and Kaulk have a nice little game going with the picks.    Sion playing every game and just getting better each game.  He has grit.  Grant and Green also grit.  We need replace Tillman with PJ Hall though.  Tillman looks like someone that shouldn't be on an NBA court, or at least with this team, he's just too slow for this tempo.   Even McNeely looked decent tonight and can drive.   If Kaulk and Moose could even be like 30% 3pt shooters man....
