one podcaster thinks Keon Coleman?!

Wow. I'm more afraid of Coleman than Leggette but want Ladd more than both. I'd smile ear to ear if got Mitchell at 33 and McConkey at 39. Bout the only combo I'd take with the other huge holes.

I want a WR double dip.  I'm fine if that a 2nd and then the 3rd.

Mitchell and Ladd are probably my favorites at 33.  There was a time I thought Leggette could be there at the top of the 3rd but I think the combine killed that dream.

Thank you.

I hate to do this because it is totally unfair to Coleman, but the Benjamin comparisons in my head scare me.

About Legette- these weaknesses listed on the NFL.com site scare me to death because everyone one of them are things you have to do as a WR in the NFL:

  • Can win the catch phase, but the release and route phases lack polish.  (will never be an X if he can't release-will struggle to get open if he can't run routes)
  • Tennessee’s tight press-man coverage was all over him for much of the game.  (This makes sense considering the other issues--translation--runs a 4.39 40 but plays like he runs a 4.93 40)
  • Rushes through route design rather than selling it to the cornerbacks.  (does not understand timing?)
  • Below-average quickness getting in and out of his breaks.  getting out of breaks creates separation.  Benjamin and Funchess?  Legette has straight line speed but not quickness--that is HUGE)
  • Hits cruise control and waits for jump balls rather than keeping foot on the gas.  (not sure what he is trying to say, but could he mean that he is not a dawg?)

I am a Gamecock fan, but I fear he is a "one hit wonder" and a "workout warrior" rolled into one big "ball of bust" (made that last one up myself)

Benjamin snowed Gettle...easy to do once you get money tho....I see the concern.

Benjamin was actually pretty good until he got hurt. Then his mom died and he became a head case.

Says the guy with the "!?" In the thread title, indicating that you're taking it seriously to some degree or another.

The best part about the draft is that all of the pre-draft nonsense (media, fans, and random podcasters alike) stops.

?! Means wtf, champ. Sorry if i hurt your heart. Maybe next time, I dunno, don't open the thread.

He was destroying everyone and was in great shape before he did his knee in training camp

KB was always very TEish though.  I mean, Greg Olsen was more dangerous after the catch.  And that's wasn't reallly Greg's thing.

Yeah, he was a tough customer to try and handle, and even better corners had their work cut out for them. There would be no cakewalks facing Kelvin Benjamin.  He was genuinely big and strong.

He was a boom-then-bust receiver.

    • Y'all think the Panthers' O-line is bad, feast your eyes on this dumpster fire.
    • maybe.  but everything is handpicked by him.  all the soccer coaches he fired.  all the football coaches he fired (minus Ron).  GMs.  all the front office folks.   the plans he makes to build facilities and then not.  Tepper quickly parts with all his handpicked people when they don't produce.  and it's not like Bryce is some lab built QB that you can sort of go back and convince yourself on and blame everyone else around him for why it doesn't work.
    • I spit coffee out my nose when I saw this the next morning as I wasn't watching. Not because of the player but because of the execution and who did it. They had to know that the odds of their QB being their at 8 was extremely high and yet they still brought in Cousins and paid him a fortune to be there. Apparently, I'm not there so I don't know, he was also told they are win now which to me makes sense as they have a good roster in general. I could understand it if hey hired a much cheaper journeyman to run this season to give Penix a year to grow into the system but Cousins? That makes zero sense to me and I honestly feel sorry for Penix. That is a horrible way to start his NFL career and it's not his fault. The only thing I have against him is that he's now a Falcon. However, at this specific moment, he's my favorite Falcon. Muhahaha
