Where does Moton rate among the all time CAR o-line players?

Great thread--but Bryce sucks!! (just kidding).

I love the topic.  Gross was our best OL because he played LT--if you equate RT and LT, that is a mistake.  However, Kalil did a lot that people did not realize--very intelligent at calling schemes.  A very good if not great C.  Wharton was SO valuable because he could play 4 positions on the OL at a very high level.  Do not underestimate the value of his versatility.  Not many guards can take LT duties and perform well.  Turner was solid but started sucking after getting paid.  Chris Terry was very solid here for 3+seasons.

Where do I put Moton?

1. Gross

2. Kalil

3.  Moton

4. Wharton

5. Terry / Turner

Cant think of a better RT in team history. Jeff Otah is problem the only one that would have had insane potential to overtake Moton.

Came here to say almost the exact thing, at this point I'd place him above Oath due to one singular entity and that's the ability to stay healthy and physically go beyond a second contract.

    • Names I'd keep an eye on... Coby White,  Jalen Suggs, Amen Thompson  and Stephen Castle...  3 teams except Orlando has checked on Melo before and rumblings of sours getting rid of fox too. I'd think they think Melo and Wemby would make them nuclear out west.
    • Well he somehow had 12 preseason carries for not playing. He also has 20 carries in the regular season, not three. He has actually played in about 7% of the offensive snaps for this regular season(33% of the special teams snaps). This isn't stuff you have to make up, these are very easily referenced statistics, man.
    • It's not common for a RB to recover from two ACL tears in the same knee. It's fairly rare. You are correct that it isn't the career ender that it used to be but there is also the fact that we appear to have largely moved on with the additions of Dowdle and Etienne.  Dobbins is a very good example. He has basically missed 54% of his career regular season games since he came into the league in 2020. It will end up being 57% at the conclusion of this season. It's a big contributing factor to why he is on this third NFL team in 6 years. It's certainly possible that may be 4 by the beginning of next season. I would say there is very little chance that Brooks ever contributes in any meaningful way in Carolina. Possibly with another team but I am extremely skeptical of his future here because of those injuries and because of the roster.
