but does he?

I mean, if Jim Caldwell was paired up with Tepper to decide to hire Dan Morgan and Dave Canales.....who does he really report to.

I wish Caldwell wasn't here or part of that.  With all the surviving Game of Thrones talk and folks running to Tepper....I don't like the optics with Jim Caldwell.  It's sort of hard to deny through the chaos he rose the Panther ladder.

Image result for chaos is a ladder gif

Jim Caldwell is in his second season with the Carolina Panthers serving as senior assistant. Reporting directly to Head Coach Dave Canales, Caldwell will assist the team on offense, defense, and special teams.

They MB thing just shows the usual dysfunction. Using the worst team to try and get some PR so he can get back into the league after 5 years on an indefinite suspension. Totally normal since he was tied to KC and their need for WRs...oh wait they don't have that dysfunction.

Didn’t the Commaders just bring MB in for a practice/tryout this Spring?

The Cowboys had him on their practice squad for 2 months at the end of last season.

    • Ehhhh I hate 3 out of the four but harbor special hatred for the two afc squads
    • If you want to say DJ ran a lazy route, fine. But that throw was garbage. There was a window just outside the hash marks but that ball was thrown damn near to the sideline. I don't know what route DJ was supposed to run but if you're Ben Johnson you also have to know your QB in this situation. Williams is a gunslinger at heart and any points on this drive wins you the game. You gotta protect him from himself and be methodical. Draw up a deep shot and he's probably gonna uncork that thing whether it's there or not. There's also the reality that DJ might have been concussed. He took a hard hit on the sidelines earlier and spent several minutes in the tent and just never looked the same in that game after that. I put some blame all the way around on this one. DJ didn't run the greatest route and seemed to not be expecting the ball. Williams through a bad ball and tool an unwise risk at that point in the game. And Johnson set himself up to get show in his own foot by his gunslinger.
    • Statistically, Bryce should NOT be a starting QB, and the consistency shows that. He shows up against favorable secondaries, and disappears against good ones. Hopefully now the team is focused on giving him better receivers and the receivers will win games on their own, ala Steve Smith type receivers, and he won’t be as big of a liability. That’s asking a lot for a #1 overall pick QB to need that of course. Whe we just had a QB before Bryce that took teams to the playoffs with Brenton Bersin and Kaylin Clay as his top receivers
