I have now lived long enough to see...

Mr. Scot

Joe Montana playing for the Chiefs...

Jerry Rice playing for the Raiders...

Marcus Allen playing for the Chiefs...

Brett Favre playing for the Vikings...

Steve McMichael playing for the Packers...

Richard Dent playing for the 49ers...

Bert Jones playing, albeit briefly, for the Rams...

(wonder what percentage of readers will have to google that one)

Bill Parcells coaching...well...half the league :sosp:

And if I live to see this coming season - tomorrow isn't promised to anyone - I will be seeing LaDainian Tomlinson play forthe Jets and Donovan McNabb play for the Redskins.

(boy, I hope me posting this doesn't turn out to be ironic) :(

Reggie White for the Panthers

Good one. I knew I was forgetting somebody.

What a D-Line that was. Reggie White, Eric Swann, Sean Gilbert and Chuck Smith, a lineup that would strike terror into any opposing quarterback's heart...

...if only they hadn't all been over the hill and/or injured at the time :(

Let's not forget Joe Namath played for the Rams as well.

I hope I live long enough to see T.O get signed by the Redskins to play along side Donovan again. What fun that would be when those two came back to Philly for a game. Dear football baby jesus, please make it happen.

That would be ironic but pure entertainment to watch Iggles fans here scream and howl in vexation if the Redskins started to sweep the Iggles with that combo.

I look forward to the local entertainment for those divisional games....it's gonna be so fun!!!

    • You know, there's something about this whole JAG thing that really just drives home the idea that to some folks, these players aren't real people, just names and stats.  Of course, it goes beyond sports. We're a sad, jaded species, us humans.
    • I hope we get no featured games, or only one if that's still a thing Don't like having to subscribe to a service just to see the panthers play a single game, i'm looking at you peacock Football is made for sunday afternoons Word
    • Yeah, it's just dumb. Everything is year to year. I never understood how anyone could stay engaged as a Kentucky fan or duke fan as duke became a one and done factory like Calipari made Kentucky. The thing I liked at about UNC is that we primarily focused on recruits likely to play multiple years. We'd have pur occasional one and done but most of our pros still played multiple years. And the days of the Stackhouses, Wallace, Jamison, Carter, etc. playing multiple years is just over. And now you have your role players entering the portal every year to test the waters elsewhere. I don't blame them for looking out for themselves but just personally speaking I'll run out of interest quickly trying to get to know a whole new roster year over year.
