Yasinskas: Panthers not interested in Campbell

Bulger would definitely be a better mentor and if he's anywhere remotely sane knows his starting days are behind him.

That part may be the hiccup right now.

Bulger could be saying to himself "Jake Delhomme found a starting job, and I can't?"

I get the feeling we might go with Moore, a draft pick, and perhaps Cantwell. This youth movement might defy conventional wisdom and forsake most everyone over 30 no matter how much they could help the team in the short run or even the next 2 or 3 years only. With the exception of bringing Brayton back I can see no effort to bring in the best players if they cost money or are approaching 30 or older. I guess we all have to get used to the new mandates from above.

I really don't understand you guys. Here's my prediciton: No Bulger, no Campbell. The Panthers are comfortable with who they've got. They like the young guy in Moore and they have a guy with veteran starter experience in McCown. They'll end up picking up a QB out of left-field or will draft a late round rookie (there's some deeper value in QB's this year).

Don't expect either of these QB's to hit Carolina.

McCown is not on our roster. He is actually visiting New Orleans.

I could go with that, if McCown were under contract.

As it stands, say what you want about his past few years, but Bulger's got more on his resume' than the other options out there. And guys like Mark Brunell, Brad Johnson and our own Rodney Peete have served as backups at more advanced ages than him.

Still rather have McCown (he knows the system) but if not him, Bulger's likely the next best option.

    • I don't think it's a homer though when I really feel this team can beat anyone.  The points that can be scored in bunches when the big three are on has high potential.  Moose has effort for days and IMO is the heart of the team.  And didn't see Miles becoming the team "vet" in the starting lineup just roleplaying lol.   We have to limit the turnovers though (Brandon Miller I'm looking at you bud, you are a bad ball handler) and some little things.   Colby off the bench is a cheat code and him and Kaulk have a nice little game going with the picks.    Sion playing every game and just getting better each game.  He has grit.  Grant and Green also grit.  We need replace Tillman with PJ Hall though.  Tillman looks like someone that shouldn't be on an NBA court, or at least with this team, he's just too slow for this tempo.   Even McNeely looked decent tonight and can drive.   If Kaulk and Moose could even be like 30% 3pt shooters man....
    • 1.) LaMelo 2.) Kon 3.} Miller 4.. Giannis 5.) Moose   1.) Coby 2.) ? 3.) Sion 4.) Miles Bridges 5.) Kalk That squad would win multiple chips.
