Houston just isn't a good coach and firing Ruffin was a mistake. They weren't great under him, but played better than they have since he was let go.

Houston's resume speaks to his ability as a coach, and "not good" isn't what it says.

However, the lack of results at ECU over the last couple years are fair game for criticism and unless they can pull together 7-8 wins, it's probably curtains for their pairing. I'm glad he didn't go to UNCC, though.

Coaching is a results oriented job. Houston's results at ECU over the last six years show that he's not good.

I dont ever want to know hate that deep to be comparing a coach to trump. Lol

they are salesman/showman with an over fixation on personal brands.   Don't let politics blind the comparison.  The politics of one or the other is irrelevant here.  It's a good fair comparison that I didn't invent.  You can google that.

who essentially lives an every day reality show?

who is fixated on personal brand?

who demands the oxygen and eyeballs of everyone?

who is more fixated on the salesmanship vs the substance?

who thinks the media should be his ally or villainizes them?

who is in charge of an operation yet fixated on cosmetic/PR aspects?

who has nepotism as the foundation of their operation?

and then now today....

Turning three smaller schools into title contenders says otherwise. Your mind is made up, that's fine, and I said that his results haven't been good enough at ECU. But if they pull out 8 wins, he's likely still there despite your feelings.

    • I'll say Bryce Young is giving me whiplash!  Plays well, plays like poo, plays well...  Its the cycle of Bryce Young! I'm really happy with the win Sunday.  Some of y'all are just miserable people.  Do I think Bryce is HIM though?  Nope.  He's really freaking inconsistent.  That a player AND coaching issue.  I didn't get a chance to watch the game, how was Bryce's vibe early on?  What he chill and calm or a little fired up? I'm think that we are going to roll into 2026 with Young and Canales.  I hope we do pick a traitsy QB to develop & push or we sign a hungry vet who wants to beat Bryce out.  I fully expect the Bryce cycle to continue next year as well. Now could Bryce be "just" good enough to help us build a team, and then we go after a better prospect QB after we trade Bryce off (or let him walk, who knows what the future is?)?  Is Bryce our ultimate BRIDGE QB?  I don't know, sounds silly to type myself.  Happy Monday! I'm just going to enjoy the after glow from a win I ended up watching on drive charts lol.
    • The current Sunday Night Football game for December 21st is Cincinnati vs Miami. I’m certain this game will be flexed out. Here are key games that have the possibility to be flexed to SNF. I believe each station has the right to protect one game. CBS EARLY New England @ Baltimore   CBS LATE Pittsburgh @ Detroit   FOX SINGLE LA Chargers @ Dallas Tampa Bay @ Carolina Jacksonville @ Denver (LATE)
    • They underestimated us, period. We played a complete game in a three phases. That's what it takes to win in this League.
