So how did we save 4 million again?

They didn't. Dan is paying 3 million AND 6th and Johnson.

Johnson is now a min salary on ravens cap.

total BS trade, its like Morgan is working for the ravens.

Players given up in trades the last few years:
RB Christian McCaffrey
WR D.J. Moore
DE Brian Burns
WR Diontae Johnson

Value received in return:
none

This should be stickied and remembered until we start hitting on our picks. We have basically gave all our talent away for nothing in return because we suck at drafting.

Yeah, this is a trash trade. This signals the Panthers want the first overall pick this year bad.

Cam Ward?

That is main issue, not tepper, panthers are simply the worst drafting team of the last 5 years.

So even if you gain more picks, you still fail cause you simply can not draft even ok players.

Someone said we are paying his bonus so it rolls 4 million in cap to 2025.

This is why you can’t react to trade parameters until the dust settles and all the details come out. Its never cut and dry trade x for y.

The only reason a Panthers fan should have hope is maybe one of the young guys will be good enough to get traded out of here for a Day 3 pick in two years.

We sucked at drafting with Rhule Fitterer and so far Morgan too. One common thread remains. Tepper is involved and hands on in the process. Why else keep the scouts through all this league worst suck?

Im fuging pissed too, this benefits 99.9% ravens and .1%

If he's cut and some team signs him for couple million/whatever's, that would at least helped cap space. Butttttt nope, lets help the ravens for whatever reasons....They already had 11 picks, if they couldn't part with 5th or 6th. Just cut him, it makes more sense. They only gained like 10 late round spots for 3million and Johnson.

How the fug is only option or best option???

This is clearly a "Bryce is done in Carolina" move if I've ever seen one.

Trading Diontae for a fourth or more (what he's worth at the least) would be acquiring assets as we're in a hard place. However, trading him for absolutely nothing of value while you have half a season left with a floundering rookie quarterback? Yeah, they're done with Bryce.

If Diontae is healthy, and plays up to his potential, he's a number one receiver.

    • I understand the hesitancy. The one reason I'm hopeful is Bryce's biggest improvements have been on deep routes that are very hard to defend and demonstrate a high level of play. A lot of Teddy and Allen's 'high level' play was right at the LoS. But it's only been a few games like you say. We shall see. The good thing is we have a number of games left to evaluate him.
    • Show me where I haven't given him his props for playing better? Do you UNDERSTAND how bad he was to start the year? So anything that isn't absolutely horrible was an improvement for bryce....do you get that? Far as throwing dimes yeah the reactions are different but also just maybe.....WE SHOULD BE USE TO IT BY NOW and not still waiting till the back half of YEAR 2. You ever think maybe some folks feel that way? Aidan O connel performance doesn't take away but WE didn't start the circle jerk comparisons of the teams we play and where there ranked against whoever the qb was starting here. When dalton stepped in last year and threw 300 yards and 3 tds against Seattle all we heard was how trash Seattle defense was. He steps in this year and does it again against the Raiders and the bengals but those teams defenses are also trash according to some of you so it doesn't matter. Therefore, you can't blame people for applying that same logic to bryce and if another qb performs even better against that same team. If the roster is so weak no qb should be having good games and if bryce is the best qb on the roster then he should be putting up the better games no matter who we play.  Once again,  I have acknowledged his improvement but let's not try to sit here act like demanding crow, apologies, and retractions is somehow the same thing. It's still to early for that and nothing but built up emotion.
    • If you include Week 8, he drops to 13th in offensive grade and 11th in passing grade.   Still pretty solid.
