First of all, I think we should fix as many areas as possible other than QB going into 2025.  Young has played well the 2nd half of the season and needs more evaluation.

I think DL should be our focus whether it is Graham or Carter with our 1st pick. I wouldn't be sad if we used our 2nd round pick on another D-Lineman.  It will be much easier to get a WR on a one- or two-year free agent contract than to pick a WR that could be JAG.  This also gives XL and Coker another year to develop.

Our free agent picks in 2024 for the D-Line were, IMO, designed to complement Brown.  Once Brown went out those players were mediocre.  We need to have insurance in case Brown comes back and doesn't perform to his pre-injury play.

Sadly, I think we should move on from Evero.  He doesn't seem to have the heart for this team.

It's a strong interior dline draft looking from afar. So there might be quality there in the second where we don't need to double down with Brown coming back and surely some signings in FA. And just throwing it out there i think Hunter declares as a WR because of second contracts

I think Mason Graham needs to be the guy. That or we trade down to 7-10 and get a second rounder out of it. Derrick Brown desperately needs some help on that side of the ball and there's no guarantee he's going to be the same player when he gets back.

Would love TMac but we could sign another vet WR in FA that is ready to go and doesn't need development. Coker, XL, and Sanders are going to be key pieces going forward anyways. If Dionte Johnson wasn't a nutjob WR would be fine.

We also need the future a Center, Free Safety, and we also need to take the best kicker in the draft. No more fuging around with Eddie P. We need a stud.

Our talent level is so low, and our defensive needs so vast, that just about any position we take in the first round at DL, LB, S would make us immediately better. I wouldn't even be "upset " if we took Will Johnson or Hunter at CB. Those guys would make us make our pass defense better overnight. My only drawback to to those guys would be the fact that they wouldn't heavily impact our RUN DEFENSE.

As some have pointed out, our run defense is historically bad. You won't compete for championships if teams are gashing for 150-200 yards every game. A stud at DT, DE, LB, or even a hard hitting/in the box  Safety would help that issue immediately. But, if you did take a shutdown corner, you could use the rest of the draft and FA to solve our other issues.

The sad thing is we should be running away with the number one pick as we are statistically the worst team in the league by a large margin. Our point differential is 40 points worse than the second worst team in the raiders.

we’re dead last in points against by 31 points. And 39 points above the giants who are the worst offensive team.

    • I'm super excited about the guys we're getting back, and fortunately this year, outside of Robert Hunt, we haven't had any season-threatening injuries. Rico has earned the start, but I am excited to have both available.  The team is finally turning into the run-first team Canales said he wanted to be. As for JT Sanders, I think he has lost the most be being out. He is probably our best receiving TE, but with the emergence of Mitchell Evans & with him and Tommy Tremble both absolutely balling in run blocking, it will be hard to fix something that isn't broken. I'm hoping Turk Wharton can help with our pass rush. We really havent gotten to see him much due to injuries, but we desperately need anyone to provide some pass rush juice, which is what he was brought to do. I'm the most excited about Jalen Coker returning. Theilen may have been the most clutch last year, but I've watched a lot of film, and Coker was the most consistent WR we had when he was out there last year.  I think he can be an ideal #2 to Tmac. While Coker doesn't have the raw athleticism XL does, his route running, savvy, and overall football IQ simply make him better.  I think with the fact Coker can play both outside and in the slot will give our pass game more versatility.  We have been running a lot of 2 TE sets, and I think Tmac & Coker should be the primary WRs for 12 personnel. The other WRs (XL, Tremayne, Renfrow, & Horn) all have roles, but I dont think any of them can fully replace what Coker can do. I do think Renfrow will be inactive this week if everyone is healthy bc of how valuable Tremayne is for ST and as a run blocker. So happy that we are playing meaningful football heading into November. We are still almost certainly a year away, but we are absolutely moving in the right direction
