Paraphrased ‘in what game, did the Panthers perform well or win because Canales and or his staff coached their asses off.  Many teams  have injuries that do not get blown out like this every other week ‘

’head coach needs to elevate defense…he is not just a play caller…go down the hall and tell Evero to fix it. ‘

the whole thing is worth listening too but it is definitely good points…

I had to laugh, one of them said ‘I’ve seen cops in charlotte who know how to tackle, go get one of them’

For what its worth, I listen to these guys and they were huge Evero defenders earlier in the year.

Evero has always been overrated and it's just now getting exposed. I don't really think Canales is going to go down the hall and pound his desk though with one game left. He's just going to fire his ass next week.

I pray for Salah and a standard 4 3 every damned year

I think Canales is too soft. I do not know that he will do what is needed

I agree on evero. His whole tenure here I think hes been overrated.  I don't think any of his defenses have been very good and this year has been historically bad.

And denvers d has been great since his departure

Very good point.

My additional thought is he is the last vestige of the Frank Reich Era... we need something new next season

Also let’s circle back, the thought around this forum was

“if we had injuries we don’t have the depth to overcome it”

well poo, which is it?

There is overcoming it to win or be competitive …then there is total, utter obliteration

551 yards in a NFL game absolutely not forgivable or forgettable and it isn’t the first time

How many practice squad players were starting today on defense. There is only so much you can do with scheme vs talent.

2011 was the prime example of that.

And the past five weeks of 200 yard games, how many practice squad players? …and the games before that…and last year, ?

These are pro players that the Panthers Brain  trust put  on the field… they didn’t just show up on the island of misfit toys

They wanted them, they pay them, coach them   and Change the fuging scheme

these are pro players and pro coaches and the result is  historically bad…

do something

as the saying goes ‘keep doing what you’ve always done and you will get what you’ve always got.

there is absolutely no excuse for this dumpster fire …none

There’s a reason there are bad teams and good teams in this league and talent is 90 percent of the difference lol

we are a work in progress (have been for a while) so what did you expect lol

we played This team close a month ago and only lost due to a fumble. It is what it is. Just chill

    • You joke, but hasn't basically the whole team been in Charlotte this past week together? I'm not one to see the random dumb stuff players put out on social media in the offseason and think it means that's ALL they've been doing and not working on their game.  But it's a little strange that all this is coming out at the same time we're seeing tons of stuff with the team in Charlotte together, even if it's just working out and not even official team OTA's or anything. So he gets a pass from me saying anything now, but if he doesn't show clear improvement this season, it then opens him up to some retroactive criticism for some things.
    • Ha-ha, I bet that went through everyone's mind.  Admittedly I don't read all the comments in a thread before I make a post. Great minds think alike!
    • Cam was hitting his stride as a QB in 2017/2018.     This is why I think stats like completion percentage are overrated. As long as a QB is clutch and makes the throws to win the game the rest doesn’t really matter. What good is a check down stat padder if they’re a choker.  Until Norv Turner (and briefly Chud) got here we put Cam in high pressure throwing situations all the time. We also ran the ball on first down more than most teams in the NFL in the Ron era. Coupled with shitty WRs, all that is expressed in his stats. I also assume Cam took the ball in his hands on many occasions rather than trust Funchess to catch the ball.    It was also never Cams job to play the game like someone else. His presence on the field dictated the game in a way that is rarely seen.  He showed he could play the dink and dunk game just before TJ Watt. That didn’t suddenly make him better than his earlier seasons. He just got put in a legit under center  passing game again for first time since his rookie year with Chud.    Ron took the quickest path to success and abused the RPO because his ass was about to get fired.    Cam never got the credit for being the cerebral player that he was. I just think when you are legitimately a human Superman, sometimes the best play is having the ball in your hands. He was a better passer than Delhomme was.
