How long will the duo last?

After reading the "Double Trouble" article on panthers.com, it made me think...how long are we going to be able to keep both Williams and Stewart in a Panthers uniform at the same time? Stewart is easily capable of being a starting back in the nfl, close to 900 yards and 10 touchdowns sure ain't bad. Hopefully both Williams and Stewart have the mentality that it is more to this game than money. I could see a lot of teams eager to get their hands on either of them. I hope they both retire in Carolina

Depends on how long our O-line can block for them. Once they go one or both of them will go.

But would love to keep both of them!

Was wondering that myself but I'm pretty sure we can handle their monetary needs for at least a couple more years.

Probably a few more years. There's no way both will stay here their whole career.

I would say 2 more years until somebody wants a new contract. the more each succeeds, the less likely they will stay together. great stats + awards = shiny new contract.

good thing is, we can always hope for one of the players to bring in great trade value...

i hear that... how sick would it be to have Williams or Stewart running all over us every year.

they are both team guys, so I could see us keeping them for a while as long as they both get carries.

We did commit 2 first round draft picks in 3 years to that RB tandem... so I would hope we try to keep them as long as possible.

Well it helps they are 3 years apart, Stewart will still be under rookie contract when DWill is up for money. We talked about this (Doc Holiday) on Xbox last night lol, DWill will be up there in age by the time Stewart is due for money.

sign williams to a new contract( 6-7 yrs) now before he blowes up again next year..... then you have 3+ years to see what happens with j-stew!
