The official Dwayne Jarrett bandwagon

Recommended Posts

I expect him not to put up big numbers but I do see him being a big time possession receiver. Hopefully Smith..and Lafell will be the burners all season.

But with that said, I believe he will have his break out year. Hopefully he performs like he did in the last game last year and in that San Diego game of the 08 season.

He's just a late bloomer I believe.

I'm on. Because when he plays, he always seems to make a great catch or two. This whole situation with Jarrett has confused me from day one. I'll bet we are singing his praises by week 6.

Despite my sarcastic comment earlier, I really do think Jarrett is better than many give him credit for. We give Smitty and even Moose a pass for bad quarterback play last year -- why can't afford the same to Jarrett?

With that being said, I think LaFell and Gettis will give him a run for his money. I'd love to see Moore, Jackson and Guy step up, too (and Goodson in the slot). I really think we've got some guys with great potential on the squad. Maybe with better quarterback play and a new coach, some of these guys will prove their worth.

I'm all for the 3 tight end sets every play. Keep them guessing if it's a run or a pass and have barnidge and Smith stretch the field while King gets the middle, Rosario is the quick option and Deangelo heads for the sideline. That said, I have no prior experience with creating or calling plays and I don't know the rules as far as illegal formations :dupe:

Jarrett is a (super) lazy Fitzgerald

I just think he was really young and it hard to argue he wasn't put in a position to fail. Horrible QB play overall his career in Carolina. Most WRs don't "get it" until year 3 in good situations.

I also think too many put stock in Steve Smith saying stuff to him on camera. In case the fanbase hasn't figured it out, Smitty is kinda what you would call an a-hole. Yes, he is really nice on camera during the offseason. But when the season starts he can't help but let the a-hole out....it also it what makes him so good.
