Kirwan lists us as a "Tier 4" team

Carolina Panthers: Some pundits think the Panthers have been dismantled and need to be in Tier 5. Others think they are a solid Tier-2 team. Considering they will have an inexperienced quarterback under center and must replace five to seven starters with their own backups, I think they belong right here. But who replaces the backups? The answer is draft picks and rookie free agents. If the injury bug hits, that spells trouble for special teams.

Injuries always affect special teams. Nothing new. Thanks for the update captain K.

Funny how some teams have good special teams whether they have injuries or not. Obviously there is more to it than just injuries or lack of them. We weren't that beset by injuries in 2008 and still sucked on special teams.

Wasn't making any excuses. Was just stating that we are already well versed in the affects of injuries.

Am looking forward to seeing improvement. Don't see how it can be much worse than we've endured in the past.

Can't argue with that. Our special teams have been awful the past few years. It seemed to my untrained eye that it was a function of poor technique and lack of talent. Pretty much a double whammy.

    • Thas the very reason we had Dalton as our backup, any of those other guys takes Bryce's job pretty easily.  I imagine if we are going with Bryce as the starter again we will have an underwhelming backup like that Mike White guy.
    • There is a difference in having a cannon for an arm and just having the arm strength to put the ball where it needs to be in a timely fashion. Bryce throws floaters anytime he has to put any depth on the ball because his arm is subpar, its undeniable.  Brady and Montana both had the arm to put the ball anywhere on the field and could rip deep balls when needed. I never seen a fuging Brady pass float like Bryce. The only guy i could say was remotely close to throwing up poo like that was Russel Wilson but even he has a stronger arm than Bryce. You would be hard pressed to find any QB that has been allowed this many starts at the NFL level with a comparable arm to Bryce.
    • Remembers its never Bryce's fault.... Thats the NFL, shits not going to be perfect every game....You need a QB that can get you through those times, not one that disappears and struggles to top 150 yards.
