Maybe I should go back and cherry pick past posts from you.. For example, when you were claiming Jalon Walker should be the pick and how he could rival Abdul Carter as the first defensive player off the board.. Give me a break.. This was always Bryce Young’s year to see if he is the guy or not. Andy Dalton went in and made 2 good throws vs the Jets to XL that Young most likely doesn’t make. What mystery backup QB would you rather have right now that wouldn’t have required sending future draft picks for?

Ive said a dozen times now I am happy with the tet pick, took me a minute to get over it but I did.  And walker is doing just fine in atl, lots of pressures last week.

But this dalton signing never made fuging sense, "hey lets sign the guy for 2 years at a premium because he is friends with bryce"  never mind the fact that he is fuging washed

who would i have signed, fuging Jameis, at a much cheaper rate

Jalon Walker 62 pff grade who only plays situationally in pass rush situations because of his size. 8 point lower grade than our 2nd round pick Nic Scourton fwiw. Seems like great #9 overall pick value lol

You do realize that Andy Dalton had a higher passer rating than Jameis Winston last year in spot duty, right? To assume Winston is such a better QB than Dalton, that it would’ve been worth shipping Dalton out (a guy who knows the offense, has positive relationships with people inside the organization) for the head case Jameis Winston is laughable. Jameis couldn’t even beat out Russell freaking Wilson. Why weren’t other NFL teams lining up to sign him? Why did the Bengals trade for Flacco and not Jameis? It’s because he sucks. Give me a break. Dalton did what a backup QB should do yesterday. Went in and made a few clutch throws. Didn’t turn the ball over either. Of all battles to fight, trying to dunk on me over a backup QB post months ago is bizarre. You seem to have too much time on your hands.

I think Scourton and Umanmielen take the edge (ha ha) off of not taking a pass rusher high.

Both look very promising.

yep, walker would have been a fine pick but knowing we got those two later makes it worth drafting tet where we did.  Its funny he is acting like walker is a bust

    • Rotating in Chuba was beyond stupid and really hurt our offense overall. We’ve been in a good rhythm the last 6 quarters or so but Canales figured disrupting that with Chuba would be worth it Rico fits this offense so much better than Chuba    As far as grades go I know that ain’t our RB1, starting Center and our supposedly deep WR room and exciting talented young TE in dead last. Weird. I wonder if that has any correlation on QB play  Even that first incomplete ball Bryce threw in the end zone that hit Legette’s hands. Legette had no business being there so early. Legette went into scramble drill when that ball was intended for Coker who led up because of the traffic there
    • Yeah Jets have pretty much been in every game they've played and have barely lost to really good teams. They are much better than their record says Imo
    • I kinda just wanna see what the offense can do with a QB who has proven he can move the football in the NFL. If Dalton wasn't a shadow of his former self I'd be fine with him but Father Time has definitely caught up with him. If we start piling up the losses as the schedule gets tougher and the passing offense continues to be anemic that might cast Canales his job and it's worth a very low risk move IMO to at least give him a fighting chance. The thought of yet another Tepper rebuild just isn't at all exciting to me having already seen a few of them. I'm about giving this current guy a fighting chance.
