Madden 11: Complete Panthers roster ratings

Good News: Jstews speed went up and Calussen, Lafell, Norwood look like great substitutes starters.

Bad news: Deangelo's trucking and injury rating went down...Delo will be coming out every other game this season.

Armanti Edwards 88 speed is lower than I would have thought but David Gettis is a 92.

Seems like more of the same....I play in a league where the trades have happened so no Harris or Peppers...struggle to make tackles and turnovers...but not terrible.

Hahaha wtf? What do you consider swagger in a video game?

apparently it's a "clutch" rating or something like that. if you get in a rhythm and are making good plays back to back your players stats increase. some players perform better under pressure than others. Jimmy Clausen has a mid 80's swagger, while Matt Moore only has it in the 60's or something.

it's dumb, the only reason it's "Swagger" is because Old Spice bought advertisement in the game so they call it "Madden Old Spice Swagger!"

should have just called it clutch rating..

Oh alright, was there a clutch rating in madden 10? I will have to go check that. I hope they made it so that Smitty no longer drops random balls that hit him right in the hands. I know that he had some drops due to Jake last year but they lowered his rating so much it is just stupid.

    • I've shown you numerous comps for other tackles in the same age and talent range.  His contract, taking into account his age, health, etc.  is the going rate.  It's a fair deal. I've shown you examples of how long it usually takes to find even an average replacement.  Hell, look at every tackle that has ever started for the Panthers.  How many would you consider a success?  They are not easy to find. After everything we've done with this team since drafting Bryce why would we decide to let our best linemen go and add a huge question mark at tackle?   FA is a crapshoot in which any guy available will have cons/issues.  If not, they'll cost a fortune.   Outside of a first or maybe 2nd round pic next year it'll take a few years for a tackle to learn the position at the NFL level.  There are still questions about Icky. Every vet NFL player deals with maintenance.  Between the contract value and history I'm not overly worried about his knee.  I contend his knee issue isn't anything to be overly worried about.  It's not zero risk but it's an acceptable risk.  Every player we draft and every contract we sign has risk.  You're blowing up his own negative words about his knees and ignoring him saying he is healthy and the knee is a non issue.  You have a strong chicken little complex with this team.  Being he has always been a Panther they are very aware of any health issues. We paid now because now is cheaper.  If his knee was really an issue they would have waited.  That tells me it's not the issue you want it to be.
    • Sauls getting cut by Steelers if no trade happens.
    • No they are going to give Claudin Cherelus 2 spots.
