Well… we started with about 35 spent a billion and still have 29?  What isn’t impressive about that?  You can not like the players but the financial maneuvering is pretty wild.

It’s not rocket science. Low cap hits this year with big cap hits next year

and then every year this place wonder how we’re always cap strapped

OTC shows it as: $26,699,732

Spotrac shows it as: $27,791,607

Weird. Not sure how or why the article I posted is different from Spotrac because the report I posted said the following: *Cap information via Spotrac, as of 12 a.m. ET on 3/14

Maybe Spotrac was updated after the article was posted.

Aaron Rodgers' best offer is apparently from the Giants

Although we don't know yet where Rodgers will end up, we do know that his biggest offer is coming from the Giants, according to The Athletic. If Rodgers is making his decision based on money, then maybe he goes to New York, but it still feels like the Steelers are the leader in the clubhouse, or maybe there's no leader in the clubhouse. No one seems to know with Rodgers.

Currently 31 players on contract in 2026 with $89,178,390 in cap space per OTC. However, 5 of those players are just void deals and 2 of the players the financial terms of their contracts have not been disclosed yet.

So, we really aren't in great cap shape for 2026 at the moment. Lots more moves still on the table to see how it shakes out.

Looks like Spotrac is most up to date though it doesn't include the contracts for the following players: Rico Dowdle, Patrick Jones, Trevon Moehrig, Christian Rozeboom

They cannot afford to whiff on this Tershawn signing. He better produce for what they’re paying. I don’t believe for a second there was another team offering anything close to this

    • You’re playing madden we’re talking real football stuff…. He does have you seen his special on internet he def thinks he’s getting paid
    • Without the team having an identity kinda hard to predict what they value.  They either are really trying to build a balanced team, or preparing for another swing at qb if Bryce doesn’t pan out. Seems like we value the o line but the $ spent there has been underwhelming besides Lewis, you could say it’s because of injuries but still hasn’t been worth the investment. as already stated, the whole handling of Bryce young as a whole has been ass backwards, we spent the years we’re supposed to take advantage of having a qb with a lower cap hit, building the team up to be adequate. now It appears, key word appears, the saints have done it correctly, which is painful to even think about. Regardless, I hope the front office has paid attention to qb contracts recently, such as Tua, Kyler, Daniel jones(pre colts) and don’t settle for subpar qb play at franchise qb rates
    • This is the flaw in your logic.  Cutting 3 of our best players will somehow move us from whatever we are to "compete". Even the most Young super fans are not predicting a ceiling above top 10-12, and that will not nearly cut it.  Someone will need to break the log jam of QBs getting nothing or North of 50. Our qb is at best a middle ground, lets hope it will be us that also manage to pay the worth at about 100 over 3 years.  And before you jump me, yes that is only of he improves.
