Gettis hopes wow moments Will earn job with Panthers

On Tuesday, Carolina Panthers receiver David Gettis lined up on the left and ran a 15-yard route toward the center of the field. He was open, but the throw was high and looked sure to sail over his head.p/Instead, Gettis leaped into the air, got his fingertips on the football and hauled it down. It was the best catch of the day. There were a couple of good-natured gasps from his teammates and a smattering of applause from the fans who had braved the 95-degree heat to watch practice.

I've been injured and on IR for the past few days hence not many posts. I noticed you did not send me any gift baskets or food. I am disappointed. :(

i just got a hard-on thinking about the dream i had last night of DW and J-Stew destroying defenses this year. like, destroying them. broken legs and arms... crying for their mothers. and they end up with over 2,500 yards, a piece, at the end of the season. forget about our wide receivers for a second... our running game, i mean, come on, that's some crazy sh!t.

Not sure what Gettis' chances are to make the team. We keep Smith, Lafell and Edwards without question. Wright probably makes the team for his special teams ability. You have to think either Moore or Jarrett also makes the team. Hard to imagine us keeping more than five receivers...but then again it's also hard to imagine us letting go of a draft pick. Somebody's in for a mysterious, season-ending injury I think.

    • I have already said I am out on Bryce so let’s not even bring him up here. I think XL sucks even if he were to have Mahomes throwing to him.   This rep alone is enough to see he doesn’t have what it takes to be a regular starter in the NFL. At least try to make the catch you idiot
    • Way back in my younger days as a reporter, I had to go and cover a D.A.R.E. graduation event at a local school. They had two NASCAR racing teams there for the kids to meet. Teams sponsored by two different beer companies, one of which had just won the Winston Cup (wow, really back in the day, and a cigarette brand if you didn't know).  The kids were having a ball and were in awe of the drivers and crew members, they loved seeing the cars. I leaned over to the DARE officer from the Sheriff's Department and said, "You do realize that you told these kids to swear they'd never drink or smoke or use drugs and look who sponsors all this." The look of realization just washed across his face and he glanced side-eyed back at me and said, "Well, poo." Advertising and marketing are so fuging pervasive in everything we do that the public really doesn't stand a chance anymore. And gambling is doing a full on press for this generation and the next.  Sports gambling has always existed and always will, but this industrialized one is more than parasitic, it's viral. I'm not sure if the patient will survive it, but if it does, there will be a mighty shock to the system before it lets go.
    • I've heard the rumors Kyler Murray ends up on an East Coast team next year. Young for Murray straight up, who says no?
