John Clayton (ESPN) ranks the QBs

32. Matt Moore, Carolina Panthers

Analysis: He has a 6-2 record as starter, but a slow start could speed the Jimmy Clausen era in Carolina.

Chance of being elite: 5 percent

33. Jake Delhomme, Cleveland Browns

Analysis: Interceptions in the playoff loss to Arizona in 2008 led to a downward spiral for a quarterback who won a lot of games for John Fox and the Panthers. At 35, Delhomme has no chance of being a starter anywhere else if he doesn't cut it in Cleveland.

Chance of being elite: 0 percent

Joke doesn't even begin to describe this list

I missed the joke, whats so funny about it? Most of it seems about right with a few exceptions; IMO

Edit: Oh I see the joke now...Tony Romo is in the Elite group...gotcha

Right here.

24. Kevin Kolb, Philadelphia Eagles

Analysis: Kolb is the perfect quarterback for Andy Reid's West Coast offense, which is why the Eagles traded Donovan McNabb to the Redskins. Kolb is a rhythm passer out of three- and five-step drops, and he should have a big statistical year.

Chance of being elite: 50 percent

Your right, nothing yet...yet being the key word. Kolb has a ton of potential and I think Philly will be a tough team with him at the helm.

If Moore was the starter in Philly and Kolb was the starter here. Moore would be in the top 15 while Kolb would be 33rd. Potential is all fine and good but thats all he has. He hasnt proven anything.

Let me try...

John Skelton: Mobile and big arm, won't play this year but I traded for him in Madden.

Chance of being elite: 75%

It really is a joke, pretty much it works like this, if you're team makes headlines or gives ESPN something to talk about - Kolb, Romo, McNabb, etc. - Then you're chances of being elite exponentially increase.

    • https://x.com/4thand1show/status/1975274357174784272?s=46   saw this this morning and came to post something similar. I didn’t just love the team or the wins, I loved those dudes man. They put everything they had out there every Sunday. You didn’t see a rep where anybody on that field was low effort in that era, and if you did they were quickly sent packing.
    • …is Brycen Tremayne with 108 yards. Not sure what that tells us but I imagine it’s some sort of gumbo consisting of the following: - Bryce can’t push the ball downfield  - contrary to what many were saying this offseason, the wr still needs a lot of work.  - we need Coker back badly.  - Brycen is pretty good! Congrats to that young man! Curious to hear other’s read on it. Was a pretty surprised to see he had more yards than anyone other than Tet and thought that was symptomatic of our issues on offense.
    • I don’t think many fans would have guessed the Chiefs and Ravens would be where they are right now. Same goes for some surprise packages like the Colts, I’m not sure many would have put money on them being top of their division after five weeks. It’ll be interesting to see if this continues!   Not necessarily. The Chargers have lost both starting OL and their 1st and 2nd choice RBs. They fell apart against Washington. The Broncos have just beat the Eagles, so they’d be my favourite in that division, but they are still only one win ahead of the Chiefs. All the Chiefs need is a couple of results to go their way and they’ll be right in the fight for the AFC East. I think that division is going to be very close and probably not a 12 or 13 win division like predicted. Unless of course the Broncos kick on.
