Rookie W.R'S that you wanted us to draft

and how they are doing now.

WR'S

My number one guys was Damian Williams...alot of others wrote him off because he's a Former Trojan like Jarrett and Colbert.

He's only played in 2 games because of a hamstring injury but looks to have won the kick returning and Punt return job for the Titans. Also has 6 catches for 55 yards right now...Granted he went 1 pick before we got Lafell so I can't be too upset we didn't get him...I'm not writing Lafell off either, so I'll pay close attention to how these 2 players careers go.

Golden Tate...From what I can find hes buried on the depth chart in seattle.

Did have a nice 41 yard grab from Whitehurst in their last game (the only one he's played in)..Hawk you can fill us in a lil more on him? thanx

Arellious Benn...I never wanted this guy at all personally but I know alot of other Huddlers did...anyway he's got 1 catch for 16 yards, meanwhile the 4th round Mike Williams seems to be doing some big things down there as mentioned in another thread I believe

Mardy Gilyard...looks like he will win the kr and punt return duties in St. Louis.

read that he dropped alot of balls early in camp and is having some troubles learning the playbook...Meat, come tell us more please

Jordan Shipley...Got Antoino Bryan kicked off the Bengals sqaud. Has 11 catches so far and supposedly quite impressive

Eric Decker...Never saw the fasicination with this guy... without digging to deep all I could find on him was that he had a good game against the lions, getting 66 yards off of five catches..Not a starter tho even with Marshall gone

Demaryius Thomas-almost forgot about this guy, and truthfully he wasn't even in our range but alot of people on here dreamed about getting him...

Anyway he's been bitten by the injury bug and hasn't had the chance to showcase himself.

Taylor Price...We scouted him hard as hell according to media reports...and may have a chance to claim him off waivers for tha pats? Maybe we dodged a bullet there

Dezmon Briscoe(Kansas)...Trying to make the bengals sqaud and probably will...just buried on the depth chart

Carlton Mitchell...The burner outta South Florida...only 2 catches so far, but then again Jakes his QB

Those were the most mentioned or popular names on here before the draft.

only 4 having a pre-season worth mentioning

Gilyard-Armanti better prove of the long term hes better than this guy

Damian Williams-1 pick before Lafell, couldn't have grabbed him and Clausen

Shipley...Ricky Prohel 2.0? Way to early for that kinda talk

Mike Williams..He's stuck with the Bucs

Well I wanted Steve Smith not Jarrett.

Golden Tate not Clausen.

Jordan Shipley not Edwards.

All because none of these guys were projects. They all could come in and play there role. No waiting required.

But then again I wanted Addi over Williams

and I wanted Otah in place of Stewart.

Why don't we go back through our drafts of the last decade or so and point out who we wish the Panthers had taken? It seems just as relevant.

I wanted some of those receivers too, guys, but bitching about it isn't going to bring them here.

I don't know who you think is bitching but I thought some may find it interesting to see what the other guys are doing...If anything these updates should make you feel better since none of them are setting the world on fire.

Have watched a lot of Shipley. He was Colt's best weapon at Texas and will be a beast in the slot for Palmer this year.

I thought Tate and Gilyard would be doing better. Honestly I never thought LaFelle would fall to us.

Rookie receiver of the year is going to be Mike Williams. Followed by Dez Bryant and and Jordan Shipley.

Oh by the way Victor Cruz a long with having the coolest name ever is going to be a good player.

    • well i could go on & on but i will just highlight it by saying big difference trust me from the SEC & NFL.it's honestly like comparing apples & oranges especially when you are talking about a  LT. in the NFL you are going up against the most athletic freaks of nature the world has to offer . .the NFL also has much more exotic & complicated defensive schemes than what they are used to seeing at Georgis &  finally but most importantly you have to learn how to master complex bio mechanics where the body kick steps instantly as a reaction to these world class athletes rush without really making a conscious effort it's more of a learned muscle memory  & it can take thousands upon thousands of reps to master rproper technique for a LT in the NFL especially if you are still very raw like Monroe Freeling is    ...just saying
    • All that being the case or maybe being the case, we do not know Wharton’s timetable n the first place. They are being coy about it. Or maybe not. They say week to week the board says he is terminal lol and must be replaced. Who knows? It may or may not warrant a fairly drastic solution.  Walker is a bargain and we are not well stocked at OL despite recent investments. Freeling has yet to have a single padded practice. Too much speculation driving this plan IMO.
    • I would really love to know who’s actually making these moves because it’s weirdly vague who’s doing the hiring and firing.
